Parents/Guardians - What Is Your Opinion?
2025-2026 Student Device Take-Home Program Parent Survey
Zion Elementary School District 6 is seeking parent/guardian feedback on the potential plan to allow students to take their school-issued devices home daily during the 2025–2026 school year.
Your input is important as we explore ways to support learning both in and out of the classroom. This short survey will help us better understand your family's needs, concerns, and preferences regarding daily device use at home.
SURVEY CLOSES MAY 11, 2025.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
During Teacher Appreciation Week, we honored the educators whose passion, dedication, and tireless efforts shape the future of our world. Their commitment to nurturing young minds leaves an indelible mark, inspiring lifelong learning and fostering a brighter tomorrow for generations to come.
School-based celebrations took place daily throughout the week. In addition, district-wide, staff received a branded ZESD 6 cell phone holder and wireless charger as a token of appreciation along with a catered lunch.

FIne Arts Fest: Celebrating Student Creativity
Last week’s Fine Arts Fest celebrated the incredible creativity of our student artists across the district!
Students submitted artwork for display during our Fine Arts Fest event held at Christ Community Church. Our Art department teachers judged the entries and awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place ribbons for select pieces at each grade level. In addition, using a rubric focused on artistic skill, composition, and complexity, Best of Show awards were given in each group: grades K–2, grades 3–5, and grades 6–8.
All participants received a Certificate of Participation, place winners earned a ribbon and Certificate of Achievement, and Best of Show recipients were awarded a full art kit.
We’re so proud of every student who shared their talent!
Board Members Honored for Their Service and Welcomed into a New Chapter
At this week’s Board of Education meeting, members took time to honor both beginnings and farewells. The Board warmly welcomed its newest member, Jacqueline San Diego, and expressed deep gratitude to outgoing members Wesley Walker and Latoya Barnes, who concluded their dedicated service. Each was presented with a plaque in appreciation of their leadership, commitment, and the countless lives they’ve touched.
