Weekly Reflection from Dr. Mullenschlader
Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We have a special reverence for Mary as the mother of Jesus. She is a shining example of faith for all of us and leads us straight to Jesus. One beautiful Marian tradition is a family rosary. What a fantastic way to develop prayer stamina. One simple way of starting the tradition is a weekly family decade of the rosary. Imagine all the prayers for St. Charles Borromeo School if each family prayed a rosary or decade of the rosary as a family together. If you all already say a family rosary spread the word on how you make it work and special. It can be such a challenge for the little ones to pay attention and can seem daunting. One tip to making it work that I can share is to let the children lead. God smiles upon little ones, but I imagine that smile gets even bigger when they lead the rosary with the family.
Tomorrow, we have the induction of our Minnie Vinnies at our All School Mass. Please pray for the students who have taken on this responsibility. Service is one of the pillars of our mission and our hope is that these children will serve as witnesses of the gospel through their efforts. Have a blessed weekend! I will see you all at the Trivia Night.
We are still HIRING!
