FCS has switched to MYSCHOOLBUCKS for student lunch accounts. Please click HERE for more information and to set up your account. We are happy to announce that meal prices will remain the same for three years in a row!
The application for Free and Reduced meals is available HERE.
Should you need any assistance, please reach out to our Cafeteria Manager, Jeannie Mabry: f40980@forsyth.k12.ga.us.
NEW ACADEMIC HONESTY PROCEDURES
With the extreme rise of Academic Dishonesty offenses we have experienced at Lambert over the past few years, we have made changes to our Academic Honesty procedures. Students will be informed of the new procedures in Advisement within the first few days of school. As parents and guardians, it is important that you are also aware of these modifications and know that if a student is caught cheating, loss of credit can be applied as a consequence. Please click below to view the procedures in detail, and please talk to your students about demonstrating integrity in their work.
Save the Date: PSAT will be Friday, October 18th
The PSAT/NMSQT is scheduled to be administered at Lambert High School on Friday, October 18th in two sessions.
Sophomores will begin testing at 8:25, and Freshmen and Juniors who elect to take the test at Lambert will begin testing at 12:00 PM. All 10th Grade Students take the PSAT at no cost, as the PSAT is free for all 10th Grade Students in the State of Georgia. 10th Grade Students do not need to register on Total Registration.
Registration for 9th and 11th graders will open in the coming weeks. For more information regarding PSAT, please click here. Students who are not taking the PSAT will learn from home.

2024-25 STUDENT SCHEDULES
Student schedules were released in Parent Portal on July 19. Our counselors are working hard to resolve the following issues, and will be available on the first and second day of school in the Media Center if a student still has one of these issues to resolve:
Student already has credit for a class that is scheduled
Student does not have a required prerequisite for a class that is scheduled
Student needs a class to complete state graduation requirements
Student has a period with no class scheduled
Course is listed twice in a student's schedule
Schedule shows “See Counselor”
In order to keep class sizes equitable, we are unable to make changes to schedules for the following reasons not listed above. Additionally, some students may see that they did not get their first choice of an elective. This could be due to several factors, including that the student has not completed the required prerequisite, the student requested an elective they are not eligible for because of their grade level, the elective is popular and a lottery system is used, etc. In these cases, an alternate elective is given. We also want to remind families that we are unable to make schedule changes for the following reasons, which include but are not limited to:
Preference of lunch periods
Preference of teacher
Preference of class periods
Preference of electives
DID YOUR STUDENT TAKE A SUMMER COURSE?
Students who take Georgia Virtual School or any online, tuition-based courses have an option to have the course grade and credit posted to their transcript; however, if the course(s) is to be used to satisfy prerequisite and/or graduation requirements, the course must become part of the student’s official transcript. Note that once the decision is made to post the credit on the high school transcript, it cannot be removed. Click here to complete this process.
FVA and Dual Enrollment grades are reported directly to Lambert, so there is no need to complete this form or provide an official grade report for those classes. This form is only for classes taken through Georgia Virtual School or another online, tuition-based institution.
As a reminder, this is the guidance we advertised last Spring regarding summer courses:
Please carefully review the Know Before You Sign Up document regarding online summer courses and the implications of taking some courses over the summer through FVA and GAVS. Taking certain online courses in an abbreviated summer session could have a direct impact on subsequent scheduling and sequence of courses for your child’s schedule and subsequent years’ schedules.
SENIOR PORTRAITS WITH CADY
ATTENTION SENIORS: Don’t forget to schedule your senior portraits with CADY.
You must have your portrait taken by CADY to be in the yearbook, but don’t worry — CADY specializes in the full senior portrait experience with a full studio housing over 10 different scenes with 3-D built-in options, changing rooms, and a high-energy atmosphere with music and professional staff.

TRANSPORTATION - PLAN ACCORDINGLY
Bus Information
Your student's bus information, including pick-up and drop-off times, can be accessed in Parent Portal. Please be patient for the first few weeks of school as drivers solidify their routes. If you have questions about bus transportation, please contact our District Supervisor-- Ms. Pamela Gilbert (770-888-3170 ext. 140321).

Car Line
We try very hard to run a safe and efficient carline. However, due to volume, the line does back up and can take a while. Please give yourself PLENTY of time to ensure your student(s) arrives to first period class by the tardy bell. We typically see our highest traffic volume between 8:00 -8:25 A.M.
Students are allowed to be dropped off early and can occupy supervised spaces within the building until school begins. Please take a few moments to watch this instructional video about our car line and read the directions below.
Mandatory Car Line Rules:
- There will be no student drop-off (or pick-up) in the gym lot. All vehicles must snake through the stadium lot and to the circle at the front of the school for drop-off and pick-up.
- Students must remain in cars until they reach the paved sidewalk leading up to the front of the school. There will be no drop-off in the middle of the line (even if your child is running late).
- Drivers must be fully attentive to traffic directors at all crosswalks. If using your phone, drivers must be hands-free.
- There will be no student drop-off in the gravel or stadium lots.
- There will be no student drop-off in the auditorium/bus lot.
Please see maps below to help navigate drop-off:
- If entering the line from Nichols Road via Old Atlanta Road – bypass the gym lot and proceed to the stadium entrance.
- If entering from Nichols Road from the Nichols Drive direction, turn left into the stadium entrance.
- Follow the road that parallels the gravel parking lot heading towards the stadium.
- Continue to follow traffic flow around the stadium lot to the front of the school for drop-off.
- Pull ALL THE WAY FORWARD to maximize drop off efficiency and keep the line moving.
- Once exiting the drop-off circle, you will reverse the same path back to Nichols Road to leave. campus.
REQUIRED MEDICAL FORMS
The county requires new medical forms EVERY school year for students with a listed medical condition. With each new school year, it is necessary to update all medical files in the school clinic. If your child has a medical condition (i.e. allergy, asthma, seizure, diabetes, ADHD, or other specialized care) that needs to be treated at school, please have these forms completed and signed by your physician over the summer and turn them in at Roundup or the first day of school. Remember that in order to carry emergency medication you must also have the “Authorization for Student to Carry” form completed by the physician as well. If your child has a health condition on file that has been resolved, please let the school nurse know.
You can locate these forms on the LHS web site by clicking here: Health Care Forms
BEGINNING OF THE YEAR FORMS
Please check Parent Portal for required permission and handbook sign-off forms. These should be signed off prior to the first day of school on Thursday, August 1.
This is also the time to double check all email addresses, mailing addresses, and phone numbers for your family’s household. Contact information should be checked and updated each school year to ensure that you receive important school messengers through your email or phone calls from teachers and other school staff. To do this, log into the Parent Portal and click “More” at the bottom of the menu.
CAMPUS NOT OPEN FOR GENERAL USE
While we love having visitors on campus for planned events, please be aware that our track, fields, and other areas of campus are NOT open for general public use. Our county has many public parks and greenways for recreational use, but our schools and the space and equipment that make up our campus and support our extracurriculars are for our students, under the direct supervision of trained staff. In order to keep students safe and maintain our grounds and facilities, we ask that our community works together to support these rules.
