Greeting families,
We are heading for our first three-day weekend of the year. This could increase the chance that your child may be hesitant to return to school on Tuesday. If this happens to your child, it is perfectly normal, and they will adjust faster this time when they see their peers and teacher.
On Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, we will conduct our first lockdown drill of the year. During this drill, students will practice our procedures in case of a lockdown. We have been informing the students about it so that it does not surprise them.
Also, this week, I will be out of campus from Wednesday to Friday. I have a principal meeting on Wednesday, and on the other two days, I will engage in activities related to a Fellowship I am part of. This fellowship is giving me more tools to serve you better. Ms. Maffucci, my Assistant principal, and Ms. Cruz-Garcia, the campus instructional coordinator, will be in charge, and they are always available in case you need anything. Last, I want to remind you again about the daily attendance. September is attendance awareness month, and we will engage in weekly activities to promote the importance of daily attendance. Students are expected to be present daily unless they are sick.
