Easley Weekly Update

I hope everyone had a good weekend and is ready for the week ahead.

Thank you for getting our Apex Fundraiser off to such a fabulous start! This week is the final push with the Remix event taking place on Thursday, March 7th during students specials. Each grade level will participate at the following times:

K- 12: 30 pm

1st - 11:35 pm

2nd - 1:25 pm

3rd - 9:05 am

4th - 8:10 am

5th - 10:00 am

Spring Break Intersession

We will be on break from March 18th to April 5th.

Lottery Update

Friday was the first pull in the lottery for next school year. As a school, we did not have any input in how many seats were opened during this first pull. This first pull was very conservative and there will be another lottery pull on April 1st. We have closely monitored the numbers of expected base students and available lottery seats and while nothing is certain I still anticipate roughly 75-80 percent of our current K-2 students will be granted a seat. Just because you did not get the lottery seat during this first pull, please know that does not mean you won't get a seat in subsequent pulls. My goal is to continue opening lottery seats through June, as our base numbers become more solid. I know this is hard on families and I understand the frustration of uncertainty but please know we are in this together and I will continue to provide updates and clarity as I have the information.

A Message From Your PTA

Apex Fundraiser and PTA newsletter

We are thrilled to be starting our Apex Fundraiser on Monday. Your teachers will be sending you much more information—but in short, the students raise pledges to complete a series of dance moves at the Remix event on Thursday, March 7th. In the meantime, the Apex team will be at the school providing fun spirit events, as well as daily leadership lessons in the classroom. New date for Spring Fling

Planning is underway for our spring community event. Please note we have changed the date of the event to the evening of Friday, May 3rd, so it can coincide with our book fair.
