April 2025
Escuela Smart Academy
Escuela Families,
The weather is unpredictable, so please make sure that your child comes to school prepared for the weather. The students will be going outside as long as it isn’t raining and the weather is above freezing so please make sure that they have a coat.
Thank you to all of the families that attended conferences in March. We appreciate all of your support. Spring is here and the weather will begin warming up hopefully sooner than we know it. The Ohio State Tests for students in grades 3rd - 6th began on March 24th and will continue until May 9th. Your child’s teacher will let you know when your child will be taking the Math OST before leaving for Spring Break. OST’s will resume immediately following Spring Break. The iReady Diagnostic will begin May 10th.
Teacher Appreciation week is May 5th-9th. Let’s make sure that we show our thanks and appreciation for all that they do for your children. A simple note of thanks, an extra effort in behaving appropriately and completing all work is a great way for students to show they appreciate their teachers.
Our Spring Concert directed by Mr. Berns will be held on May 15th. Please make sure to mark this on your calendars because I know that your students will be AMAZING!!
Thank you for all of your support,
Ms. Natasha Allen & Mrs. Marcela Velazquez

Enroll Your Student for Next School Year!
You can now re-enroll your child for the 2025-2026 school year. Please go to www.tps.org. Click on Enrollment at the top / Returning Student Enrollment / User name will be your email address. If you don't remember your password, call the school office and we will reset your password. You need to re-enroll your student so we know how many open spots we will have for new students.
- If you have any changes to transportation, please call no later than noon to let us know.
- Bus IDs need to be in the student's backpack all the time. IDs will be scanned daily to get on the bus.
- Do not pick up students between 1:30 and 2:00 in the office as teachers are already getting ready for dismissal and this causes confusion for them as the dismissal list is already made.
- Please do not block the entrance to the parking lot. Teachers need to enter first thing in the morning and take their parking spot.
- Please DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS in the afternoon when picking up students. Neighbors need to be able to get out and come into their driveways.
We appreciate your cooperation.
