Principal's Message...
Wow, the 23/24 school year is officially over! Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, students, and families on a terrific school year. It seems so cliche, but it really did fly by. With the school year officially complete, we have a few reminders and announcements we want to make sure you are aware of.
- STAFF: All of our teaching and office staff are slated to return for the 24/25 school year. Ms. Doran will unfortunately be moving out of the state. We wish her luck on this new adventure.
- 24/25 TENTATIVE SCHEDULES: We have posted the tentative 24/25 schedules K-12 on our website. Feel free to take a look. These are tentative but will provide a general idea of the plan moving forward.
- SURVEY: Please take two minutes and complete a quick survey required from the state.
- MASTER AGREEMENTS: As a reminder, a signed Master Agreement is necessary for all TC students prior to starting classes. Many of the teachers have already started them. They will likely start back up in August prior to the first day of school.
- CAASPP Scores: Individual scores have begun to arrive and TUSD is posting those as they are received. A message went out via Parent Square May 24th explaining how to access the scores.
- PTA: We are excited to welcome Andrea Peregretti as our new PTA President and Amber Weiser as our new Vice President. Both ladies will be joing our previous board members: Janice Kim, Treasurer, Tara Hirose, Secretary, Maneesha Singh, Auditor.
Have a fantastic summer! We hope you have lots of fun adventures, fun gatherings, and stay healthy. We will see you August 14th or 15th for the first day of classes. Please feel free to check our website and your email for any potential updates throughout the summer and leading up to the first day of school. As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

Schedules for 24/25: We are currently working through the details for our schedule for the 24/25 school year. The plan is to have 2 days in person as the plan is to eliminate the hybrid instruction on the 2nd day of synchronous instruction per week. We also may be opening up some additional afternoon classes as we are looking to work with a local community partner. Stay tuned for more information. For now it looks like:
- K/1: Wednesday 8:30-12:30 and Thursday 9-12
- 2-5: Wednesday 8:30-12:30 and Tuesday 9-12
- 6: Monday 9-12 and Wednesday 8:30-12:30
Report Cards: Report cards should be available in your Aeries portal on Monday afternoon. It's a district wide process, so there may be some delay in the posting of grades. We appreciate your patience.
Summer Access: Students will have access to the following apps/programs to review over summer.
Lexia: reading, writing, grammar, spelling
IXL: Grade-level ELA and math (Look for the Summer Boost skill plan I added!)
Khan Academy: Grade-level math videos and practice
ST Math: Grade-level math practice
Since some students may be trying to access Clever applications from a personal device, here is a document that walks through the steps. Clever Access from a Non-TUSD Device

- IN-PERSON CLASS: Thursdays from 8:30-12:30
- IN-PERSON DROP-IN optional day (Mondays) and online office hours to provide daily support for our students.
Keep It Going: Rather than experience the "Summer Brain Drain", students can continue training their math and language arts muscles. Fortunately, Khan Academy and IXL are available throughout the summer for students to use. Check out the links below to continue to train instead of drain:

Counselor Corner: Resources and link to workshops and more!!!
We all got to see Mrs. Wijnhamer's new baby! Aubrey Marie made a visit to the graduation ceremony. We are working through the details for Mrs. Wijnhamer's return in the fall. For now, all questions can be directed to Mr. Fineberg (efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us) or your advisory teacher for the time being. If we don't have the answer, we will find it out for you.
Also, you still have access to the recording of our last Principal/Counselor Coffee. We covered student credits and high school graduation requirements as well as a Q and A opportunity for families as well. You can view the meeting in case you missed it using this link.
Check out Mrs. Wijnhamer's Monthly Counselor Newsletter.
Our Counselor and Mental Health team have a great website with lots of resources to check out.
