This year Mr. Vancil is allowing students and staff to dress up in Halloween costumes. Please make sure you follow the guidelines so that we can continue this in future years.

Halloween Guidelines:

1. Follow school dress code. Keep the "Bs" (breasts, back, buttocks, and belly) covered and make sure your costume does not promote violence or drugs.
2. No inflatable costumes.
3. You must be able to sit in your seat at a desk.
4. No face paint, masks, blood, or gore
5. No props or fake weapons (wings, guns, swords, wands, stuffed animals, etc.)

Be sure to take a look at and vote for your favorite pumpkin!

Please do not forget to turn in your Federal Impact Aid forms. This is how Sproul receives funding from our government. Thank you.

It is now rather dark in the mornings as students are walking to school. Students - Please be sure you are walking on sidewalks and using crosswalks. Parents/Guardians - Please drive slowly and watch for our students.

We will be honoring our 1st Quarter Pride students and 1st season athletes on October 31st at 1:45pm.

Spartan Pride is an academic program in which students can earn leveled cards quarterly that give them special privileges throughout that quarter. Students who reach the requirements are recognized at assemblies. Also, students who earn three levels during the year are invited to go on a special field trip at the end of the school year. See requirements below.

All four levels require the following:

• No office referrals
• No more than two unexcused tardies
• 90% attendance rate or better (excused or unexcused)
• No D's or F's during the quarter.

Grade Point Average Levels:

• Platinum Level: 4.0
• Gold Level: 3.7 - 3.9
• Black Level: 3.2 - 3.6
• White Level: 2.5 - 3.2

On November 5th and 6th, our 7th and 8th graders will engage in college and career planning. Widefield School District 3 uses Naviance software to help students learn about themselves including their strengths and passions and allows them to explore different possible career paths. Be sure to ask your student about their findings.

Sproul uses two systems to communicate with parents and students: Infinite Campus Portal (IC) and Remind. Please download both apps.

• Infinite Campus - Look up your student's grades, attendance, schedule, fees, etc. Grades are posted in IC every Friday, so you check grades before the weekend. Some teachers use this system to email guardians. Please email ICHelpDesk@wsd3.org to request your parent portal access code.

• Remind - Receive text messages about important events and reminders. Please make sure your email is correct in IC; otherwise, you will not be able to connect with Sproul in Remind.

**Both apps are important so that you can be connected with us and stay in the know.

While we do not want to flood your phone with notifications, the Sproul website is another great resource to use. There is also a page for Technology Information so that you can troubleshoot these apps.
