Seniors and Parents
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024 Health Careers High School will host Senior Parent Night. This event will provide college application and financial aid information for seniors who are applying to college for the fall of 2025. Senior Parent Night will be in the HCHS Cafeteria from 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Aditi Mudipalli, Isaiah Luna, and Maryam Adeparusi all applied and were accepted to the BigFuture Ambassadors program.
BigFuture Ambassadors:
Volunteer because they want to help their friends.
Share free career and college resources on social media, at school, or in conversations with friends.
Meet after school on Zoom, once per month between February and May.
BigFuture brings together a trusted community to help all students own their future. Available for free to all, BigFuture.org is an online guide to finding careers, colleges, scholarships, and more. BigFuture® School is a mobile app available to students who take the PSAT/NMSQT® , PSAT™ 10, or SAT® on a school day. In the app, students can view their scores, get customized college and career guidance, and connect with institutions.
SENIOR PICTURES
Oct. 10 & 11- Prestige Studios will be on campus to take senior yearbook poses (tux & drape) at no charge and will offer cap and gown photos for $10 sitting fee.
Appointments for on-campus photo sessions are scheduled with Mrs. Kelling in the library classroom.
Senior yearbook, graduation cap and gown and casual photos are available at Lifetouch/Prestige Studios by appointment at LOCAL.PRESTIGEPORTAITS.COM
Deadline to take your senior picture and be included in the 2025 yearbook is Nov. 8.
IMPORTANT--ID Badges
Freshmen and Incoming Sophomores new to Health Careers will be able to get their ID badges for free. Returning students needing an ID replacement will need to pay $5.00.
IDs can be purchased before school only in the front office.
FLEX
Students, if you are needing to see another teacher during FLEX, you must obtain a pass from that teacher at least prior to lunch the day of the FLEX. You will take this pass to your assigned FLEX teacher to check in and get their permission before leaving. Teachers, if the student does not follow this process, please do not allow them to leave your FLEX.
Wish our Varsity tennis team good luck in the district tournament this weekend!
On September 13th, our Varsity team beat Harlan HS (score 16:3). On September 14th, our JV team beat Holmes HS (score 18:1). On September 16th, our JV team beat Taft HS (score 18:1). On September 19th, our Varsity team beat Marshall HS (score 12:7). On September 21st, our Varsity team fought hard against O'Connor HS but lost (score 5:14).

Jessica Malakhova has participated in Students Science Symposium at St Mary's University Friday September 20, where she presented her research abstract on dental composites.

Friendly Reminder--Lunch Deliveries
Due to allergies, COVID and other health concerns, we will not be allowing any outside food to be delivered to or brought to the campus. Students who have off campus lunch will not be allowed to bring any food back to the campus. Parents bringing a forgotten lunch for their own child may bring it in a lunch box/bag or a plain brown bag labeled with the student's name. Food and drink are not allowed in the classrooms. Students may carry a water bottle.
