The Pinnacle Periodical
Volume 1, Issue 8
September 5, 2024
We are officially done with the fifth week of school, which means we've crossed over the midpoint of the first quarter. At Meet the Teacher night (or on the first day of school), your scholar was given a folder that contained instructions for each family to create a login for PowerSchool. With four weeks until the end of the quarter, please check your scholar(s)' grades and communicate with their teachers if you have questions. For our older scholars, it's a great time to build responsibility by having them view their grades with you. If you cannot find your PowerSchool login information or having trouble with your account, please reach out to Ms. Lenhart.
LifeTouch Retakes
Due to some changes to LifeTouch's equipment, we had to make adjustments on picture day. Class photos were taken in the cafe and individual photos were taken in the courtyard. We are aware that was not ideal and did not produce the results we wanted and you paid for. If you purchased school photos, they are available to view now at mylifetouch.com. You can create an account and view photos with your scholar's school ID number (available in PowerSchool).
Because we know that you deserve better, we are rescheduling LifeTouch ASAP (as soon as we have a date, we will communicate to our parents). We will automatically retake all individual scholar photos for the yearbook. IMPORTANT- if you already purchased a photo package and you want new photos, you MUST select "retakes" on the LifeTouch website to void your current photo package. If you missed out on buying photos the first time and would like to purchase before retakes, please click HERE and use code: EVTQHGCCZ
Would you like to be part of the Heritage staff?
We are in need of guest teachers (subs) at Pinnacle. If you have your IVP fingerprint clearance card and would like to be a sub at our school, please click HERE.
You can let Andrea know if you're available daily in the event of a last minute absence (a teacher wakes up sick) or only available ahead of time for scheduled absences.
We would love for you to join us!
REPORTING ATTENDANCE
To report a scholar absence, please call 623-537-3535 by 9:00 a.m. Letting your scholar's teacher know is much appreciated; however, it does not replace contacting our front office directly. Calling after 9:00 a.m. may result in an automatic system phone call.
Kona Ice will be on campus on Tuesday, September 17th during lunch. Please see the flyer for pricing, scholars can bring cash with them the day that Kona Ice is on campus, which will be once a month for the rest of the school year on Tuesdays. Scholars are welcome to purchase a reusable cup and bring it back each month for $3 refills (reusable cups cannot be stored in the classroom).
Congrats to our Heritage Scholar Heroes this Week!

Chaperones who will be alone with scholars must have the IVP fingerprint clearance card.
The process can take several weeks, we encourage you to start now so you are ready when opportunities arise.
Please email Andrea Lenhart a.lenhart@heritageacademyaz.com if you want to be added to our volunteer list.

Driveline Procedures
Morning driveline begins at 7:30 a.m.
Afternoon driveline is 3:15-3:30 p.m. (gates open at 3:00 p.m.)
RED ARROWS- this is the new kindergarten driveline for pick-up after school only. All kindergarten scholars (with their 1st-8th grade siblings) will be waiting in the courtyard and they will exit through the wooden gates to load their cars. Pull as far forward as possible.
IMPORTANT! Liberty Kids Preschool uses this curb to pick up at 2:45 p.m. Kinder parents cannot start lining up on the curb until 3:00 p.m.
BLACK ARROWS- this will continue to be the driveline for 1st-8th grade pick-up. The gates will open at 3:00 p.m. Please pull as far forward as possible so we can remove traffic from Pinnacle Peak Rd.
Waiting on Pinnacle Peak Rd- cars that are facing WEST need to pull as far off the road and into the dirt as possible while they wait to enter the parking lot.
Out of consideration for other parents who have been waiting in line, please do not drive through and then wait in the parking lot to cut the drive line. We have received multiple complaints from parents who are waiting in the long line. We appreciate everyone doing their part and showing each other courtesy and patience.
Please follow these guidelines for a safe and efficient pick up:
- Have your car tag clearly displayed.
- Pull up to the furthest cone possible.
- If you need to buckle your child, pull forward and off to the side.
- Eyes up, phone down please!
- Show citizenship, patience, and courtesy to other parents & drivers- YOU are setting an example for all of our scholars.
IMPORTANT NOTICE- Student Pick-up Time Limit
After school, scholars should be picked up by 3:30 p.m.
Scholars who are still on campus after 3:30 (and parents are not actively waiting in driveline) will be walked to Hero Club and parents will be charged a $20 non-registration fee plus $2/minute past 3:45 p.m. After two occurrences, your scholar will be enrolled in Hero Club at the monthly fee.
If you know you will frequently arrive later than 3:15, please register your scholar for Hero Club.
