Principal Arellano's Post
Greetings Cougar Nation,
We're approaching the last stretch of the school year, and I couldn't be prouder of the growth and progress our students have shown. Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and it's been a joy to witness their achievements.
As we gear up for the final weeks, I want to remind you to check out the Cougar Connect Community Edition for essential updates on upcoming events. We have some exciting celebrations planned, and we'd love for you to be part of them.
Join us in commemorating your student's accomplishments this year. Your support and involvement make a significant difference in our school community, and we look forward to celebrating together.

Questions to discuss the importance of curiosity:
Engaging elementary students in discussions about curiosity can be both fun and enlightening. Here are some questions you can ask to spark their curiosity and encourage meaningful conversations:
1. What does curiosity mean to you?
2. Can you share something you were curious about recently? What made you curious about it?
3. How do you feel when you're curious about something?
4. Why do you think curiosity is important?
5. Can you think of a time when being curious helped you learn something new?
6. What are some ways you satisfy your curiosity when you want to learn more about something?
7. Do you think it's okay to ask questions when you're curious? Why or why not?
8. How do you think being curious can make learning more fun and exciting?
9. Can you think of a famous person who was known for being curious? What do you admire about their curiosity?
10. If you could explore any topic or idea in the world, what would it be and why?
11. Have you ever discovered something unexpected while exploring your curiosity? What was it?
12. How do you think curiosity can help you solve problems or overcome challenges?
13. Do you think curiosity is something everyone can develop? Why or why not?
14. What advice would you give to someone who wants to be more curious about the world around them?
15. Can you share a story or experience that highlights the power of curiosity in your life or someone else's life?
New Kiss and Go Pickup Procedures
Starting the week of 12/11 changes will be coming to the kiss and go pick-up lanes in the afternoon. To help with the flow of traffic in the community on Defoe Ave. and Caballero Ave. We ask that parents/ guardians not park on the south side sidewalk of the kiss and go parking lot. We will be using the area along the sidewalk as the line for overflow pick-up cars. Attached is a map of kiss and go parking lot.
-The yellow is the flow of the kiss and go lanes
-The red will be a no parking zone
-The blue will be for the overflow of cars waiting to enter the kiss and go parking lot
For the safety of the kids please do not have kids cross the kiss and go exit to load into the cars waiting in overflow. Please pull up to the yellow line in the parking lot to pick up your up students. Please be patient. When leaving kiss and go it is prohibited to turn left.
