Years Teaching: 17
Years at TVHS: 3
What is your favorite part of teaching your program?
Getting to see my students ideas come to life. Taking an idea from your mind and bringing it into the real word is what art and design is really about. That's what makes us the #1 print shop in Tonopah!
CTE Program Highlights
Graphic Design
Mr. Deschenes consistently incorporates practical skills into his classroom instruction. His students actively participate in each stage of the design process, from the initial concept development to the application on apparel. He also enhances the learning experience by incorporating engaging elements, such as utilizing a skeleton as a distinctive model.
Initial Design
Heat Press
Construction/Carpentry Program
Mr. Welch's Construction and Carpentry students are demonstrating their practical skills by creating a range of items. This year, the students have produced corn-hole boards, Jenga sets, and benches. All of these items are available for purchase.
CTSO Highlights
All CTE programs include Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), which are essential to their success. CTSOs provide students with valuable opportunities for networking, competitions, travel, and leadership development.
FCCLA Leadership Camp
Our FCCLA officers attended a Leadership Camp in Williams, AZ at the end of September. This camp provides officers with the skills necessary to successfully run chapter meetings, engage members and showcase FCCLA to their community.
