Meet Maestra Srita. Gonzalez

To 3rd Grade Spanish Immersion! I am really excited to meet you and have your child in my class. We will have a great year together learning, exploring, discovering and growing together.

I was born in Quito, Ecuador and have been teaching for 18 years. This is my 9th year working at Cambridge Elementary, and 5th year in 3rd grade Spanish Immersion.

Family is everything to me! I have one brother named Erick, my Dad lives in Puebla, Mexico. I have 1 dog her name is Chula, and I have 3 bunnies! The bunnies will be our classroom pets. 😀 I enjoy traveling, outdoor activities and visiting my family in Ecuador and Mexico.

My third language is English, and I too was an Immersion student learning French in Quito, Ecuador. I am a continuous learner and love teaching science, astronomy and having fun STEM projects in the classroom. This summer I had the opportunity to work for HMH and teach teachers in Texas and the nation about science programs. I also spent time relaxing with family, paddle boarding and playing board games.

I look forward to getting to know you, and being the best teacher I can be for you, and learning from you as well.
