Crone Music for 5th Grade Students

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6:00-7:00pm, a middle school music informational meeting will be held on Google Meets for parents of 5th grade students. Parents will be provided with an overview of the District 204 Middle School Music program and the opportunity to ask any questions that they have about middle school music options. To join the meeting on Google Meets, you need to click on the link below and sign in using a Google account. You are welcome to join using your student’s school district Google account. On Thursday, December 5th, fifth graders will meet with the Crone Music Department Staff at their school to learn about Band, Orchestra, and Chorus opportunities at Crone. Your student has already started the exploratory process in their general music classes this fall by learning about the instruments in Band, Orchestra, and Chorus. At the end of this process, students will be given the opportunity to select ensembles in which to participate in sixth grade.

Final registration for 6th grade music will take place on Wednesday, January 22nd in the Crone Cafeteria from 4:00-7:00pm. Through the registration process, parents will enroll their student in the music program(s) of their choice, and they will receive information about how to rent a band/orchestra instrument and obtain the other supplies needed.
