Dear Riverview Families
I hope you had the time to relax and enjoy some family and friends time with your loved ones.
We come back to our schedule tomorrow with a calm week to help us ease back into the routine, and with a growth mindset we welcome 2025!
This first week of January we have seasonal temperatures, the entire week will be between 4 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure to send your student bundled up for the weather with hat, mittens and a winter jacket. If you need assistance with any of those items, please call the office and contact Ms. Angelica Diaz at 651-293-8665.
Tomorrow we will have an assembly for our students to remind us of our Riverview SOAR expectations; S for Safety, O for Organized, A for + Attitude and R for Respect. As part of our routines, these coming weeks our students will be reviewing expectations for classroom, hallways, bathrooms, cafeteria, playground, etc. Help us by asking your student how do we show SOAR expectations in one of these settings.
All our before school programs for EDL K-1, Lego League, Project Scientist and Harmony will resume this week with the same schedules that they had before winter break.
Coming up:
PTA is organizing a Penny Drive for next week with a pizza and PJ party for the winning class. For more information here is the flyer!
Happy and Prosperous 2025 to all!
Ms. Stivaliss
Cold Weather Guidelines βοΈ
Families are encouraged to monitor their childrenβs clothing selections to make sure they are appropriately dressed for cold weather. Our students have daily recess except in extreme weather conditions such as rain or severe cold/wind chill. Students will have indoor recess on any day with a wind chill or actual temperature that is below zero. As weather changes, sweaters and layers are needed! Please consider these factors related to weather as you and your child make decisions for winter clothing. Students must have a WARM coat, hat, and mittens/gloves for outdoor recess. Visit Saint Paul Public School Weather page for more information. To prevent lost Clothing please Label students' names on clothing.
