Hi Hawthorne Families!
We are getting so excited to perform for you! Our concert is at the Bozeman High School Auditorium on Monday, December 18th. Students should arrive by 5:00 at the latest (when the auditorium doors open). Between 4:50 and 5:00 is a great student drop off time. Our concert will begin at 5:15. Please see below for additional details!

-Want to sing at home? Practice here!
Map of BHS - Where to Drop Off Students
-There are two ways for your student to get to their pre-concert room. The fastest is to get dropped off at the red arrow - those doors go directly into the music wing. You can also go through the main auditorium entrance and follow the green arrows to the music wing. There will be adults roaming around to help you find your way!
-Do you have loved ones that cannot make the concert? Want to watch the show again? Use the link above!

Wanted: Celebration of the Arts Volunteers!
We are looking for some volunteers to assist with the Celebration of the Arts Committee. This is our annual fundraiser that supports art programming at Hawthorne to include artist residencies and supplies, as well as theater.
The celebration will be April 26th this year and we have a variety of different ways to help. If you want to help but aren't able to attend on April 26th, there are still plenty of ways to participate.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other parents at the school, plan a really fun event, and help support art at Hawthorne!

Interested volunteers should contact Heidi Putnam at heidi.s.putnam@gmail.com

Hawthorne Art Plans
Our staff is so grateful for the opportunity to integrate and provide opportunities for arts education due to funds raised annually by our Hawthorne families and community partners. Teacher teams have drafted their initial grade-level art plans, which you are welcome to view HERE.
These plans detail just some of the residencies and experiences planned at this point in the year, and will become more robust as the year unfolds and more opportunities are scheduled.
If you are interested in helping with this year's Celebration of Children & the Arts, please reach out to our PAC (hawthorneschoolpac@gmail.com) to help with this year's event!
Hawthorne Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Our Hawthorne Parent Advisory Council (PAC) enhances the educational experience of Hawthorne students by financing a variety of programs as well as upgrading our facility and materials.
If you are a Hawthorne Parent or Guardian, you are automatically part of the PAC!
The PAC is integral to the ongoing success of Hawthorne operations and special initiatives. We hope you’ll consider volunteering and/or supporting PAC events and fundraisers. All support is appreciated and so important to maintaining our amazing school.
Open Positions
The district (and Hawthorne) are also looking for Guest/Substitute teachers! Substitutes can be selective in the grades, classes, and school sites they choose each day. If you are interested, please apply and reach out to let us know you're available for guest teaching!

Volunteer Information
At Hawthorne, we treasure the ability to include volunteers in supporting student learning and activities! If you might be interested in volunteering in our community in some way this year, please see the district's Volunteer Website to read the handbook and complete the disclosure forms for our office.
Note: A volunteer is considered supervised when in the classroom, or when in the presence of a BSD7 employee. A volunteer is considered “unsupervised” when not always in the presence of a BSD7 employee (for example, on a cross country ski outing). If you plan to accompany a class as an unsupervised volunteer, please complete one of these online applications. Please note these can take several weeks to process. If you have any questions or troubles with the process, please contact me! As always, thanks for being part of our school community and supporting our students.
Project Connect: Please contact Lauren Dee (laurenwing@yahoo.com) to learn how a few minutes a day or week as a Project Connect volunteer can impact the connection and wellbeing of all Hawthorne students!

Please Note: Smart watches or watches with phone/communication capabilities will be expected to stay home or remain in backpacks until dismissal. Thank you for your support and understanding.
