Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back to school! I trust your children had a good rest over the school holidays and that they feel refreshed and ready to embrace all the learning and extracurricular opportunities that our school provides.
Some of the exciting events we can look forward to this term are the P&F’s Cake Stall, Father’s Day Stall and Disco, our book week celebrations, Edudance concert and Open Afternoon, Athletics Carnival and Mercy Day celebrations to name a few.
The P&F will be holding the first of their bi-termly meetings on Monday 22nd of July at 6pm at school. We warmly welcome anyone thinking of assisting with any of the P&F events to our P&F meetings. The P&F are a lively and friendly group of people who are driven to build our school community with their friend and fund-raising events. Extra hands and ideas are always welcomed and valued.
A reminder that if your child has been diagnosed with any new medical conditions or if there has been a change to a current medical condition, please keep the front office up to date with the relevant medical information so that we can ensure the best possible care for your child while they are at school.
Finally, a reminder that if you have a concern about your child’s academic progress or social engagement, the first point of contact should be your child’s classroom teacher, as they are best placed to have this discussion with you. Should you be unable to resolve your concerns at the classroom level, your next point of contact is to make an appointment to see either one of our Assistant Principals, Alison Ryan or Krystie Clark. They will raise your concern with me should they be unable to resolve it.
We pray that this term will be a fulfilling one for our students, staff and families and we ask that God guide our work as we build a strong community aligned in purpose to ensure that every one of our students flourish at OLOM.
