Ms. Kang: Recently, my child was having a hard time taking foreign language classes. My child wanted to give up foreign language classes and take reading classes. I was wondering how I could help him because he is a parent from Korea. I sent an e-mail to Minjung Kang, who kindly gave a briefing when I was not sure about the school at the time of admission, and asked me what I should do. Ms. Kang not only sent me an answer e-mail right away and told me how to change the class in detail, but also applied for a change of class to the teachers instead of me, informed me of the progress by e-mail, and called me to inform me of the progress of the class. For me, who is not a native English speaker, I have always been worried because I do not know how to express it politely to the school teachers. In many ways, I would like to thank my child and family for helping me make my school life more enjoyable.

“For this week’s P.A.W.S. Award, I am proud to nominate Kelly Standridge. If you’ve had the privilege of working with Ms. Standridge as a classroom co-teacher, you’ll completely understand how she embodies the essence of this award for both her students and her colleagues.

Kelly consistently maintains a Positive outlook and Accepts responsibility by handling any situation with grace and professionalism. She Works hard both inside and outside the classroom, going above and beyond to ensure that her caseload of students and their families feel supported and confident. She demonstrates care and dedication by recognizing and addressing each child’s individual needs and challenges, creating an environment where every student feels valued.

I hope that you are having a wonderful day. If you missed the first deadline to pay for your child to attend the Savannah trip in February 2025, I have some good news. The new link below will allow you to make a full payment plus a late fee ($25) if your child is interested in attending the Savannah trip. The link will be available from 12/8/24 until 12/13/24. Please do not access the link if you paid in the first payment window. We will open final payments after we return from winter break in January.

Please make sure that you are listing your homeroom teacher when asked and not your social studies teacher. If your child cannot go due to discipline consequences stated in the earlier emails, please do not pay anything. We will not be able to issue full refunds per the policy stated on the permission slip. All permission slips must be filled out and submitted prior to leaving. Please encourage your child to turn in their permission slip to their social studies teacher as soon as possible. Please contact Mr. Wallace and not the touring company, if you have any questions.
