What a fantastic month of kindness we’ve had! February has been filled with so many fun and meaningful activities that have brought our school community together. From celebrating 101 Dalmatian Day for the 101st day of school to our Kindness Pep Rally and the exciting National Counselor Week of Fun, it has truly been a month to remember.

We are so proud of the kindness, enthusiasm, and school spirit shown by our students throughout these events. Thank you for making our school a place filled with positivity and joy!

As we head into a well-deserved break, we hope you take this time to relax and recharge. Enjoy your time off, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on February 24th for more learning and fun!

James Madison is having a wonderful time honoring Black History Month!

Take a look at some of our projects!!!

This month, we are continuing our theme on Kindness & Equality! We will be focusing on honoring Black History Month through our SEL theme! I read the book I Promise by LeBron James to many classrooms, and we discussed qualities that make a great leader! Students in our small groups created Kindness Bows to display during our Kindness Pep Rally!

Our Kindness Squad did a wonderful job with our Kindness Cart. All proceeds will go towards spreading kindness around our school as well as Mental Health Awareness. Some members of our squad also worked on posters to display for our Kindness Pep Rally. Stay tuned for more wonderful things from our Squad!

This month, the class with the highest attendance will receive a beach party in the gym!!! Students who are present every day this month, will also participate in a special raffle to win an Ocean Themed Basket with tickets to Liberty Science Center!

• Feb. 24th – 28th Spirit Days for Black History Month
• 24th - Wear Brown & Peach to highlight Inclusion
• 25th - Wear Unity Colors- Red, Green, Black
• 26th - Celebrity Day-Dress as your favorite African American Celebrity (Music/Actors/Influencers)
• 27th - Dress for Success
• 28th - Pajama Day
• District Re-registering- Everyone must re-register by July 1st

We are working on improving our overall attendance at James Madison School. Please avoid taking vacations during the school year. If you want to travel, plan around the days/weeks we have off. Each day your child is not here, they are losing academic learning. Make-up work is not the same as in school learning. We are looking forward to working together to give every child a great education.
