Bel Canto:

Tuesday, April 8th at Willis HS

• Warm Up 8:00am
• Concert 8:20am
• Sightreading 8:40am

Students will need to arrive by 6:30am on Tuesday, April 8th in their formal choir uniform. Students may bring a change of clothes to change into for the rest of their school day when we return from contest. Students will be on a leaver and the absence will not count against exemptions. All students are expected to attend and perform at UIL Concert and Sightreading. We will return to TMHS at approximately 10:00am and students will return to 3rd period.

Bella Voce

Tuesday, April 8th at Willis HS

• Warm Up 12:20pm
• Concert 12:40pm
• Sightreading 1:00pm

Students will be on a leaver beginning at 9:45am on Tuesday, April 8th and the absence will not count against exemptions. Students will need to bring their formal choir uniform to change into and upon arrival in the choir room will need to immediately change. We will provide lunch for these students due to missing official school lunches. All students are expected to attend and perform at UIL Concert and Sightreading. We will return to TMHS at approximately 2:30pm.

Dudes

Tuesday, April 8th at Willis HS

• Warm Up 4:00pm
• Concert 4:20pm
• Sightreading 4:40pm

Students will report to the choir room immediately following the school day to get changed into their formal choir uniform. They will need to bring their uniform to school and can store it in the choir room during the school day. All students are expected to attend and perform at UIL Concert and Sightreading. We will return to TMHS at approximately 6:00pm.

Chorale

Thursday, April 10th at Klein Cain HS

All students in Chorale will report to the Choir room at 7:20am dressed in their formal uniforms. We will do a warm up with all chorale students and then head to Klein Cain HS. Between Varsity Treble and Mixed we will travel to a lunch location, students will need to bring money for lunch. We will return to TMHS at the end of the school day.

Varsity Mixed

There will be UIL rehearsals after school leading up to this year's competition! These are for Chorale only and will be held on the following dates.

April 7th 4-6pm for Treble, 5-7pm for TB

The TISD Fine Arts Festival will be held at TMHS on April 26! The event will last from 9-2. We will need student volunteers for both helping run the festival and performing. There will be a Google Form or sign up sent out via remind if you want to participate in a solo. If you had a solo in either Pop Show or Coffeehouse, you are encouraged to sign up!

The 2025 Choir Banquet will be held on April 26! Choir students are receiving a ticket for free, but guests will need to buy one. Tickets will be $25. Seniors are allowed 3 guests and underclassmen are allowed 1. Students are not required to bring a guest.

Dinner will be Adriatic Cafe and will be provided, however, students will need to bring something to share. These items are listed by class below.

If you have pictures from any point this year, please submit to this Google Drive for our historians! Anyone can submit photos, but please make sure it's from a choir event.

When submitting the photos, please name the file with the name of the event the picture was taken at.

Remember that these photos will be going in our choir yearbook and the banquet slideshow.

Seniors, please complete the google form below for your senior spotlights on Instagram as we near graduation! Please complete these by April 9!

Kira needs a picture for all seniors for the yearbook and for our Senior Recognition Concert. Please make these a nice picture (not just a selfie you took 2 minutes before sending it in) along with a baby picture. Send them to her at kira@david311.com by April 9.

TMHS Choir Yearbooks are available to purchase now! Our incredible officers work hard on this book for any who wish to purchase and receive at the end of this school year. Choir yearbooks feature photos from our events throughout the year and are $35. Seniors receive a book as a gift and need not purchase one! Sample yearbooks from previous years are available to look at in the choir room and will be passed out for students to look through this week!

If you are interested in being a member of TMHS's Chamber Choir, The Major Chords, please see the below description and application. Applications are due by Friday, April 18th and auditions for choir for next year will be after UIL. If you are wishing to be in The Major Chords you must complete the application below as well as the Choir audition form below.

If you have applied to be an officer for next school year, please sign up for an interview time with our current President and Vice-President. Interviews with Mr. Ragsdale and Ms. White will begin after UIL and will be during class. If you have conflicts with every date and time, please let us know. If you are already in the Choir wildcat den, please sign up for an interview during that time.

If you are staying in choir for next school year please complete the audition form below. We will use this during auditions to know what choirs you would like to be considered for in 2025-26. This will be due by April 18.

Please make sure that you are making payments for the Spring Trip if you are traveling with us! The final balance on trips was due March 15th!

Parent chaperones can make their payments using the same link as student payments, but please indicate who the payment is for under "recipient name". For student payments, please put your student's name under "recipient name"

Please be aware that students must be academically and attendance eligible to travel on the spring trip.

All schoolcashonline payments will have an additional service charge that does not count toward the payment. For example, the initial deposit is $100, but has a $5 service charge. Also be aware that the initial deposit is non-refundable and monies paid for the rest of the trip cannot be refunded after the December 15th payment, unless you are able to sell your trip for full price.

If you have missed a payment you can make multiple payments via the schoolcash link below. You are also welcome to send in a check or cash.

The final payment for the Spring Trip to San Antonio was due on March 15th and we are currently missing several payments. Please continue to use the link below to pay in $100 increments, and any final balance under this amount will be assigned in your student's schoolcashonline account this week.

We do currently have two trips for sale. If your student is interested in traveling with us, please let us know as soon as possible.

Choir Spirit Student of the Week:

Chorale and Major Chords member Alex Stabell for his subtle leadership that speaks volumes, and helping build a more respectful and mature culture in his classes this year. As he reaches the end of his fourth and final year of choir, he currently resembles an "Elder statesman" of the TMHS Choral Department. Congratulations and thank you, Alex!
