A reminder that there is no school for students on Tuesday November 5th due to Election Day.
Coming us this month is our Book Fair. The details about the bookfair are below but it is a literacy focused week to be sure! Students will preview the bookfair with their class and then will have a specific time to shop with their class. November 21st will be the Book Fair family night where parents and their children can shop for book and the Parent Engagement Committee has collaborated with WCPSS PArent Academy to host a workshop title "Reading is Fundamental". Come learn about new research on literacy and how you can support your child at home with reading.
Barb Fair
Congrats to Jayden (5th grade), Lucca (5th grade), Alexis (3rd grade), and Elliott (3rd grade) for winning 2nd place team trophy at the Triangle Chess’s K-12 Team vs Team Chess tournament in Chapel Hill with over 20 schools competing. Our chess team triumphed over the older middle school and high school students, an impressive achievement. Go chess dolphins! We are off to a great start!
Change of Transportation Policy
Report transportation changes by 1:15pm on the day of the change by calling the Front Office at (919) 387-2130. Do not send a Talking Points message or email to your child’s classroom teacher to report a transportation change.
Early Dismissal Policy
Students who need to be picked up early from school must be checked out by 1:30pm. Please send a Talking Points message or email to your child’s teacher to alert them of the early dismissal plan.
