The next PTA Family Movie Night will be this coming Friday, January 17th in the Ottertorium (cafeteria) and we will be showing Spider-Man: into the Spider-Verse! All concessions and pizza slices $1 each. Doors and concessions open at 5:30pm. Movie starts at 6pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Our next Family Engagement Night (and PTA Member Meeting) will be on Thursday, February 6th at 6pm.
Join us for a Lunar New Year celebration as we welcome the year of the snake.
We will have the Mak Fai Kung Fu Dragon and Lion Dance Association performing a lion dance. Dinner provided. All Olympic Hills Elementary families are welcome!

All virtual participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and comments in the chat, which will be read by the moderator.
Student Lead Writing Celebrations will be this Friday, January 17th, in the Ottertorium (cafeteria) and gym. Parents are welcome to attend your child's celebration and hear all the amazing things they've been writing at school! The small groups will be lead by the 4th and 5th graders.
- 8:15-8:40am - 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders
- 8:50-9:15am - Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th graders
There are two school levies expiring in the February 11th election. These levies provide continued funding for building safety, school programs, student services, and building improvements.
*Olympic Hills Elementary will host a Community Information Session regarding these levies at the school on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 6:30-7:30pm.
"Every three years, Seattle Public Schools asks voters to consider renewing two levies that support our students, staff, and schools. While SPS receives funding, based on enrollment, from state and federal sources, the district also relies on local levies to fund our schools. Levies help bridge the gap between what we need for students, staff, and schools and what we receive from the state"

The PTA is excited to bring back the Pacific Science Center Science on Wheels program to OHE again this year during school on January 30th and 31st. At the September Family Engagement Night, the kids chose “Physics” as the topic they will get to immerse themselves in!
All classes will get to participate in one of the workshops listed below and also a pop-up exhibit all about Physics!
