FMS Students have recently completed iReady testing for Math and English. Please talk with your student about these scores and how their progress throughout the year. We will be handing out incentives for students who showed growth on these assessments. There is a link below if you would like to donate!
We are so thankful to have our new Traffic Light at the entrance of FMS! This has helped keep our students and families safe and helps our students get to class on time.
Friendly reminder for the 2024-2025 school that all students who will be in 8th grade must have
two required immunizations done before the first day of school. TDAP and MCV4. If you have questions please contact Nurse Alisha Mecker.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is approaching! We want your support in showing the teachers and staff how awesome we think they are. We have an Amazon wish list of the treats we need for each day of that week. We also have a link to donate a coffee to a teacher from Tom's Coffee Truck. Let's make this week amazing!

FMS Parent Coffee
We are excited to have our 3rd Parent Coffee at FMS. This is an opportunity to visit with FMS Administrators, hear about some of the great things happening, ask questions, and visit a few classrooms.

Pink Out Game
Friday May 24th during the school day we are going to have our Pink Out Volleyball Games. Students will play against their teachers by grade level.

FMS Lego Robotics Team -- Donors Choose
The Frontier Fabricators (FMS's Lego Robotics Team) is asking for your help. Students in 6th -8th grade will collaborate on creating a robot design, an innovative project based on the theme for that year's Regional Competition. They will program their robot to perform specific tasks based on that year's challenge matt and models.
First Lego League, has recently released a new program format and robot. The new robot is called SPIKE and will expand opportunities for students beyond the robotics team. Students who participate in the spring intramural for robotics will have the opportunity to use SPIKE as well.

Focus Software Coming Soon
In case you missed it in the January Inside the WSD, we're Transitioning from SIS K-12 to Focus School Software. Next year, tasks such as completing forms, viewing grades, and checking lunch balances will be done on the Focus School Software platform rather than on Tyler SIS K-12. Here's a quick update on what you need to know. Be on the lookout for additional information coming soon!
Kindergarten Registration
All children who will turn five before Aug. 1, 2024, are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year. View registration event dates, starting as early as Jan. 11, and get more information here.
