Welcome Back to School 2024!

KJSH - Home of Big Picture Middle and High Schools and Crossroads Academy

We are excited to have the students in the building soon! There has been a lot of planning this summer for the start of the school year. This will be our best year ever - especially because we are celebrating our building's our 100th Anniversary! Stay tuned for more details about our KJSH 100th Anniversary Celebration for current student and families, alumni, and community members.

The first day of school is September 3, 2024 - just a few days away! Students can be dropped off at Door 10 between 7:50-8:10 AM. Please be advised that the driveway to Door 10 will be where the school buses drop off students. Please avoid pulling into the driveway, if possible, to allow clear lanes for the school buses. Any student that arrives after 8:10 AM will need to enter through Door 1 and sign in. We will have breakfast available for students each morning in the cafeteria. Classes begin at 8:10 AM and students will be guided through their schedules the first week of school. We will have lunch periods for students in each program to allow time for everyone to get their lunch, eat and relax before going back to classes. Our lunch periods will be:

10:56 - 11:26 AM - Big Picture High School
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Crossroads Academy
12:05 - 12:35 PM - Big Picture Middle School

Students will be dismissed at 2:40 PM each day. Buses will pick up eligible students at Door 10. Please avoid pulling into the driveway, if possible, to allow clear lanes for the school buses. KJSH has multiple district programs housed on the 1st floor and the driveways and parking lots are very busy in the afternoons. Caution and safety are paramount when dropping off and picking up your child.

Crossroads Academy

KJSH Shared Decision-Making Team

Kenmore Junior/Senior High School is looking for parent members for our Shared Decision-Making Team (SDMT). The SDMT will meet monthly at 7:30 AM at KJSH in the 1st Floor Main Office area. The SDMT will review the school's improvement plan and progress monitoring and provide feedback and support on our unique programs. We will use assessment, perception, and student data to inform our practices and monitor our progress.
