Prayer of Thanksgiving that my loving and sovereign God, takes my failures and mistakes as part of the all things that work together for my good…as well as my tensions and stresses, my hostile and anxious feelings, my regrets, my trips into shame and self-blame – and the specific things that trigger them. Thank you that all things including these, can contribute to my spiritual growth and my experience of you…when my heart is overwhelmed, I’m more aware of my need to cry to you…to take refuge in you… to rely on you. Thank you for how you use my sins and failures to humble me, and for how this opens me to the inflow of your grace-amazing grace, that enables me to hold my head high, not in pride, but in humble gratitude for your undeserved, unchanging love and total cleansing. Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Elder Lynda Wilson taught a powerful lesson entitled, "A Walk of Faith and a Covenant Promise." She defined faith as acting like it is so, even when it's not so, in order that it might be so, simply because God said so. She defined covenant in the Biblical sense as a permanent contract that has no ending.

Her scripture references were Hebrews 11:1, 11:6-7. Genesis 6:13, 6:18-19, and Genesis 9:17.

Her objectives were:

1. Define "Faith and Covenant".

2. Bible heroes who walked by faith.

3. Demonstration of faith.

4. Personal testimony.
