PARTNERSHIPS
It's the last day of September, and this week is filled with opportunity to be part of a BIGGER Glenn High School community! Danielson Middle School is hosting Elementary Night tomorrow evening AND then Hisle Elementary will walk in the GHS Homecoming Parade on Wednesday! We will begin lining up at 5:30pm. Each family is invited to walk with us as we celebrate being part of the Grizzly community! Families can park in the parking lot at Glenn, and walk towards the gym to find the parade participants! We're asking that we wear HISLE shirts or colors to show our Hisle pride!
Speaking of community, Hisle PTO met with Room Reps for each class last week to share all things coming to Hisle! Each homeroom parent would like to communicate with you regarding holiday celebrations, teacher birthday, and campus events! If you do NOT wish for us to share your contact information of email, please reach out to your homeroom teacher by October 4th. On October 7th, we will share email for each homeroom with the homeroom representative. Our goal is to make it easy on families!
Remember, Hisle Hounds howl loud and proud!

Child Protection Learning!
As you know, teachers in Leander ISD utilize the Second Step curriculum to teach children important skills for getting along with others and doing well in school. It also helps our school be a safe and supportive place where everyone can learn.
To meet the required State of Texas Health TEKS for the instruction to prevent child abuse, Leander ISD counselors will utilize lessons from the Second Step Child Protection Curriculum. These lessons will teach students three types of skills: Personal Safety, Touching Safety, and Assertiveness. In order for students to participate in these lessons, parents must complete the grade-level Opt-In/Opt-out form for each student here at Hisle. You can find this form below for each grade level:
