Mr. Pappas Announcements
Dear Families,
I want to highlight another procedure from our parent/student handbook regarding picking up your child eary from school.
Early Dismissal- Please allow up to 15 mins to retrieve your child after signing them out. Please refrain from signing students out during the last 15 minutes of class. A student must be signed out in the office if it is necessary to leave school early. The school will release a student only to the legal parent/guardian or an adult over the age of eighteen listed in Aeries. PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED BEFORE A STUDENT CAN BE RELEASED.
Student will no longer be called up to the office prior to being physically signed out in the office. We will not take phone requests to do so anymore.
Thank you,
Mr. Pappas
State Testing is coming!
Dear families,
We will begin state testing on April 15th for all 3rd-6th graders. THis is the time where the students get to show what they have learned this year. We would like to create a fun, stress free environment so that the students are able to relax and do the best they can. I would like to ask that families email me an encouraging letter for your child. I will print out the letter and put it in an envelope. I will then give the letter on the first day of testing! Please email me by April 14th. Title your email with your child’s first and last name and teacher name. On the morning of the 14th, we are also going to create a Rally Tunnel. We ask that families come at 8:15 to create a human tunnel for our kids. Bring encouraging signs and get ready to hype up our kids. All families are welcome. Please join me in the courtyard starting at 8:15. Lastly, I want to remind parent how important it is that your child is not late or absent during testing. This leads to them having to make up the test on a different day and could lead to less success. Any student that arrives after the test has started will not be permitted into the room until that day’s testing is over. PLease avoid scheduling any appointments between 9-11 on testing days. Schedule is below….
4/15-4/17
4/22-4/24
4/29 5th grade Science test
Please let me know if you have any questions!
