Thank You
Thank you to all who made Community Science Night a great success. We had over 100 parents and children that attended. The focus was Salmon in the Classroom. This DNR-sponsored program has been in our school for three successful years.
Students were able to visit 8 different stations, each designed to help them understand the life cycle of these salmon and the value they bring to our Great Lake waters. Student leaders from 3rd and 4th grade helped to man each of the stations and assist students, family members, and community visitors with the station. These were the stations; Aquarium, video, Happy Salmon card game, Fish printing on a large handkerchief, glue the parts on the salmon, life cycle journal, The Great Swim, and a food station. A DNR fisheries technician was also available to answer questions about the program and to donate swag. A great time was had by all who attended! Thank you again for your support!
