Good News, Recognitions & Announcements
- Girls Cross Country team recognized for winning the Class 4 State Championship
- Boys Cross Country team recognized for being Class 4 State runner-up and Carson Driemeier winning the individual state championship
- Anna Berezowski, Annabelle Whitener, Wyatt Carter, Kane Seitz, Levi Green, Alex Kester, Calvin Ellis were all named to the All-State Choir
- The Intermediate School's Share the Harvest food drive is over. Students collected thousands of food items to be donated to Brendan's Backpack program and the Ozark Food Pantry.
- The Elementary School also just wrapped up its food drive, collecting thousands of items for Brendan's Backpack program.
- The middle school held its food drive for Brendan's Backpack program in October. They also collected thousands of items for Brendan's Backpack program.
- FMS Unplugged on Nov. 1
- FHS Theater production of "You Can't Take It With You."
- 7 Special Olympians took part in the regional bowling competition in Valley Park earlier this month.
- Colby Bailey FHS Student of the Month
- Colby Bailey & Ava Green received awards at the recent SEMO Model U.N. Conference.
- Boys Cross Country Coach Bryant Wright will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday.
- Veterans Day celebrations around the District.
- 7th grade math teacher Rebecah McFadden named Regional Middle School Student Council sponsor of they year.

Consent Agenda
The board unanimously passed the consent agenda. Items were:

- Approved candidate filing dates for the Festus R-VI Board of Education - Dec. 10-31, 2024
- Approved graduation dates for the Class of 2025 - May 20 (May 21 inclement weather date)
- Approved Prom Venue for Spring 2025 - April 26, 2025 at The Artisan at Baetje Farms
- Approved bus surplus
- Approved the Federal Programs Report evaluation
- Approved the Rocket Team's National Finals trip request
Communications and/or Reports
- Superintendent's Report
- DESE has delayed the release of APR results until November 25
- Festus High School has won a 2024 College Success Award from GreatSchools.org because of its advancement in college and career readiness
- Fall sports season is winding down. Football is only sport left playing. Play Gateway STEM on Saturday at 1pm in state quarterfinal game.
- Annual holiday staff reception is Dec. 13
- Thanksgiving break is Nov. 27-29. Students return Dec. 2.
- Enrollment is currently 3510
- High School and Middle School submitted building level reports for review.
- PD Day survey was presented.
Prior & New Business
Last month, the board approved moving forward with the expansion of the Intermediate School. The contract with ArchImages was signed. Now work can begin to prepare the site. The board approved SCI Engineering's bid of $9850 to test the land with five borings (one each on the proposed building corners and one in the loading dock area) to check for rock.
Unanimously approved the District Assurance Checklist, signing off on saying the District is in compliance with state mandates/regulations
