916 Career & Tech Student of the Month for November
Owen Miller: Animal Sciences and Natural Resources
A Student of the Month is characterized by the professional skills of Leadership, Problem Solving, Teamwork, Engagement, and Communication.
This is what Owen's instructors had to say:
Owen is a positive force in our classroom. He has the ability to include all students in games, work and projects and willing to participate fully in all our class activities. Owen has stepped up to be a leader in our class FFA team and recently participated in the Horse Evaluation Career Event at University of Wisconsin River Falls.
ACE Mentor Program Starts November 28th
The ACE Mentor Program is open to any high school student who has the curiosity and drive to learn about a career in design and construction — from contracting and engineering to architecture and landscaping.
The first meeting is set for November 28th at North High School, Breakout rooms 205H/J in the media center from 3:30-5:00. They will continue to meet every Tuesday through March.

Upcoming Event: Construct Tomorrow December 6th
Construct Tomorrow Event Information
Construct Tomorrow is a program that brings the construction and building trades to high school students through an experiential learning process. Students get to talk to young and experienced professionals about working in the trades, and they get to try hands-on activities that simulate what it's like to work on a real jobsite! Since it's inception in 2013, Construct Tomorrow has reached over 50,000 high school students across the state of Minnesota to bring awareness to the incredible post-secondary opportunities in the building and construction trades.
When: December 6th
Time: Bus Leaves North at 10:00 am Returns by 12:00
Student will eat lunch upon return
Seats available: 20
