Here is what you should expect the first week:

• NO PLAYER is allowed to practice until their physical and concussion test (middle school only) have been submitted to their team mom. ALL other documents must be submitted to team moms no later than July 23.
• Your player will have to sit if they do not have a 2025 physical submitted on the GFL form OR if they are in middle school and have not submitted their concussion test. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
• If your players paperwork is not submitted by July 23, they will have to sit at practice. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
• It will be HOT... be sure to have a water jug for your player!
• Every player is required to have 3 "helmet only" practices to acclimate to the heat before they are allowed to wear any football pads. This means your player will need to be in shorts, shirt, cleats, and helmet with tethered mouth guard for the first 3 practices they attend. If your player has to miss, they will make up a helmet only practice until they have had 3 total.
• Coaches will plan to have padded practices on Thursday, July 24 and/or Friday, July 25 for all players who have had their minimum 3 helmet only practices as long as weather permits.

ALL players will need to turn in required paperwork or they will have to sit out of practice and could be determined ineligible for the season.

GFL-mandated documentation for all cheerleaders and football players:

1. GFL Physical- ORIGINAL copy of your 2025 GFL Physical, signed and stamped by the physician's office. The physical must be dated for 2025!! You can print a copy of the GFL Physical Form at www.ngfa.com.
2. 2025 GFL Registration Form- pick up this form at document turn in. You will need to have the document signed by both parents/guardians.
3. Birth Certificate- Parents must present an original Birth Certificate at document turn in and must provide a copy of their athlete's Birth Certificate (this is replacing the NSID process).
4. 2025 Baseline Concussion Test- a certificate of completion is required for Middle School aged football players and cheerleaders. You can find detailed information at www.ngfa.com.
5. Proof of Residence for all 8th Grade Athletes- 8th Grade football players and cheerleaders will be required to provide documentation of where they are zoned to attend school in the Fall of 2025. You will also need a copy of your student's 7th grade transcript/report card.

Uniform and Bag pick up will take place in the Riverside Elementary cafeteria from 6:00-7:30pm on July 24. Each team will have a table set up so that you can submit paperwork and get all camp wear as well as uniform pieces. Coaches and Team Moms will also be available for questions and to meet your girls.

Cheer Camp will only be three days this year, July 28-30 from 5:30-7:45pm at North Gwinnett High School.

• Each grade level will work with NGHS cheerleaders to learn some chants as well as their half time routine for the year.
• Girls will be asked to wear specific spirit wear each day, so be on the look out for what to wear and when.
• Cheerleaders WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE if they are missing any of the required paperwork!!!
