Patriot's Pointe
Greetings Patriot Families,
We have a month left in the Fall semester and things are wrapping up quickly! 13.5 Week progress reports were released last Thursday and final exam exemptions are just around the corner. Did you know that students who pass all of their classes during the first semester of high school are more likely to remain on track and graduate on time? Please speak with your scholar about their academic progress as we move toward the end of first semester. It truly takes a village of support to ensure the academic success of every student and our teachers need your help and partnership.
We have another busy week at The Creek! Please join us on Tuesday, November 19th at 6pm in Patriot Hall for our Jenkins Road chorus concert! Please make plans to join us virtually for our PTO meeting on Wednesday, November 20th at 6:30pm. We will host our School Council Meeting in the Media Center on Thursday, November 21st at 7:15am.
We are so proud of our students for being recognized by the Fayette County Commissioners Office last week for winning the digital "Why I Vote" campaign. Shayla Cox and Alexis Holmes both were awarded scholarships on behalf of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for their leadership on this project. Congratulations to our Patriot Football team, Coach Smiley, and the entire coaching staff for winning the first round of the state playoffs against Adairsville! We will be back in action at home on Friday night against LaGrange. We need a sold out stadium so please come out and support THE CREEK! Congratulations to our Girls Flag Football team who have secured a playoff spot in the post season! Our girls have a 12-3 record and we would love to see some more fans in the stands to support them in post-season play!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

Free College Essay Help with Notable Narratives!
About Notable Narratives:
NN is a 501 (c)(3) college essay service organization that provides completely free college essay editing services to first generation and/or low income (FGLI) high school seniors applying to college. We do this by pairing college applicants with FGLI college students, as having an advisor that comes from a similar background will allow students to feel more comfortable receiving help
Since our founding in August 2020:
Our 90 FGLI college advisors have assisted over 1,750 students from 102 unique countries and all 50 states.
1 in 4 students who filled out our annual survey were accepted into an Ivy League or Stanford University.
94% of our students were BIPOC, and 50% identified as both first-generation and low-income.
We encourage you to read more about our impact through our Impact Report, website, and Instagram. We are excited to help even more students this year!
Next Steps:
Attached is a Registration Form for you to share with your students. NN’s services are available to those who self-identify as low income and/or first generation; students do not need to identify as both to apply. I will also be sending this resource to the SCHS counselors.

Parent Square
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
