Dear Parents and Guardians,

Just a reminder that Blizzard Bags were sent home on February 12, containing TWO DAYS' WORTH of assignments and activities to be used in the event of inclement weather resulting in a school closure. Your student will have 10 school days to complete each day's Blizzard Bag assignments (for example, if we have a snow day on March 1, Blizzard Bag assignments would be due on March 15).

This Friday, February 21 we will reveal our One School One Book selection to the students during a special assembly. One School One Book is a school-wide, multi-week event where everyone at Munson reads the same book together! We will have activities and contests throughout the event, and it all culminates in our Family Literacy Night on Wednesday, March 19 from 6-7:30pm. Much more information will come home with your student tomorrow. Happy reading!

The students LOVED their class Valentine's Day get-togethers! Thank you to all the parents who contributed snacks and paper products.

Teachers will hold conferences on Thursday, March 6 from 4:30-8:15pm. These conferences will be by TEACHER INVITATION ONLY. If your child's teacher would like to schedule a conference with you, he or she will reach out to you directly. Then you can visit the link provided to schedule the conference, or call the office at 440-286-5901 and we will schedule you. Thank you!

Hello Munson families!

It's widely known that thorough handwashing is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of germs and sickness. It's always a great time to review proper handwashing techniques with your kids! Please remind them to ALWAYS use soap, be sure to scrub the fronts and backs of hands and in between your fingers, and to clean beneath your nails. You should also wash your hands for at least 20 seconds! Below is a song you can encourage your kids to sing (either out loud or silently to themselves) while they wash hands to ensure they spend enough time washing. Thanks for your cooperation! Topper Tickets are given to students as a special recognition when they demonstrate a Topper Trait - Taking Responsibility, Offering Kindness, and Persevering. Each day, we randomly pull a few Topper Tickets from each grade level to receive a prize!

Are you looking for ways to grow together as a family? Join us at Chardon Middle School for a multi-part series of activities to foster connection and build confidence within your family. Arts and crafts supplies and a light snack will be provided! Your family is welcome to attend one night, or multiple sessions. We are limited to 30 families per event, so don't wait to sign up! We hope to see you at our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, March 11 at 4pm at school! Going forward this school year, all PTO meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of the month at 4pm. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Join the PTO for Donut with a Grownup! Students and ONE adult are welcome to enjoy donuts with their grade level. We had a great time with 1st and 2nd grade, and look forward to seeing 3rd grade on February 25 from 8:30-9:10am in the gym!

Mark your calendars for Munson PTO's Bingo Night Fundraiser on Friday, April 4 at the Munson Town Hall! This will be a fun night for the whole family! Along with Bingo games, we'll have tons of raffles, a silent auction, Chinese auction baskets, and pizza. We are working to raise money for new picnic tables for the school, and we need your support!
