On Monday, Nov. 11th, Emmott had the honor of recognizing Veterans for their service. We were honored to recognize some of our very own in the Emmott community. Our 3rd grade students had a nice performance that was shared during the morning ceremony. We are so thankful that our students and staff had the opportunity to show how much we appreciate the sacrifice they made and continue to do for our freedom. We honor you Veterans of our Emmott family!

We want to thank our Emmott community for helping us and our students raise money through our fundraiser PoP (Power of Purpose). To help celebrate the hard work that all of our Emmott Eagles put forth, the students will have a Best Day Ever on November 21. This student event will be our way of saying THANKS!

Attached is a short video of what a "BEST DAY EVER" day looks like. Also, listed are a few items that we need the students/parents to do to be prepared for the day.

1. Dress Appropriately for the activities (sweat pants, t-shirt, tennis shoes/no sandals).
2. Please bring an "EXTRA PAIR OF SOCKS", the students will not be able to wear shoes while playing on the inflatables, so an extra pair of socks to change into after the event is appreciated.
3. A jacket if the weather is on the cool side.
4. Water bottle
5. Due to schedule changes parent lunches will be canceled for Thurs. Nov. 21st.

Congratulations to our Emmott Girls on the Run!

* Saturday, November 23 at 7:30 AM!!

* Have participants meet you at your team flag in the staging area. Coach and girls bibs along with Running Buddy Bibs will be in a bag at your team flag. You will need to pin bibs on, so allow time for that.

* Warm-up Begins at 7:10

* Race Starts at 7:30!

Thank you to all the families that attended our Family Night on Tuesday, Nov. 12th. What a great success it was with resources, games, science experiments, spirit store, book fair, public library and drawings for free turkeys.

We are happy to announce that are NEW SIGNS for both the front and back parking lot have arrived! This signage will help to keep our traffic patterns flowing safely in the morning and afternoon.

As part of our procedures for all areas of transportation, we would like to strongly encourage that our Emmott Community remain OFF cell phones while on campus grounds. It is important that while in school zones parents and guardians stay attentive to moving traffic, observe students/parents crossing, and adhere to procedures that keep our process running smoothly.

We are so excited to have parents/guardians visit their students during lunch. We will have two days available for lunch visitors, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This year we will be encouraging our parent/student lunch tables to serve as a PHONE FREE ZONE. We ask that if you choose to have lunch with your child during their lunch period, that our EAGLE PRIDE continues and you allow your child to teach you our EMMOTT ways and share the great things happening in their classrooms through positive conversations!

Please remember that ALL Visitors must have a form of Identification (ID) in order to visit the campus.
