Senior Elementary School Parade is tomorrow, Tuesday, 5/20/25 at 10:45 am!!: We are continuing our “Senior Elementary School Parade” tradition. Our HRHS feeder elementary school principals have invited the HRHS seniors to return to their elementary school campus to walk through the school one last time before graduation. Students can say hello to their former teachers and high-five younger students. Seniors should wear their cap and gown. It’s a great tradition that is fun for seniors, and it encourages younger students to strive for graduation.
We need at least one parent volunteer at each elementary school to be a point of contact. You will need to meet the students in front of the school by 10:45 am on Tuesday, May 20. You will help them line up outside the front doors, take lots of photos (group photos outside the school and during the parade), and be the point of contact at the school. It shouldn’t take more than 30-40 minutes. We are looking for a volunteer for our six feeder schools: Acres Green, Arrowwood, Cougar Run, Eagle Ridge, Fox Creek, and Lone Tree.*
Volunteer here: Help with Senior Elementary School Parade
* HRHS Feeder schools participating. If your senior attended a different elementary school, please feel free to reach out to that school’s principal if you would like to organize a parade (or they might already have one planned). We are only able to organize this event at the HRHS feeders.

--> SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Sources of Strength: Sources of Strength is a wellness model that uses teams of peer leaders to change social norms and break codes of silence through positive messaging that focuses on Hope, Help, and Strength. This is an upstream prevention approach that promotes help-seeking behaviors, connections between youth and adults, and building resilience in efforts to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors. The strengths wheel consists of 8 protective factors: Mental Health, Family Support, Positive Friends, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Generosity, Spirituality, and Physical Health. Last week students completed a lesson to review the different parts of the wheel and then wrote a postcard to someone they consider to be a “Mentor”. We were happy that students could identify someone they believe to be a trusted adult or mentor. Good work Falcons!
