Important Information About SC READY Testing
All students in grades 3 - 8 must take SC READY this spring.
As you make plans, including doctor and dentist appointments, please be mindful of these testing dates. Since this test is not timed, we will not be able to interrupt a testing session for early dismissals once testing has started.
We will share additional information closer to the testing dates, but we wanted to provide this information early enough for families to plan accordingly. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

***The Easy Things to Get Right***
*Make sure your outfit meets Dress Code. Pants should be worn at the natural waistline. Bare midriffs, halter/tank tops, see through shirts, tops, or blouses are not appropriate for school. Undergarments should not be visible.
*Please do not bring blankets to school
*Do not walk to Dutch Fork High School unless you are catching a ride with a sibling or parent or if you have a practice or meeting.
*Please remember to pull all the way forward in the car rider line when dropping off or picking up.
(Pulling forward allows more cars to unload or load.)
*IDs should be worn at all times on campus. Please ensure that your child is wearing their ID prior to arriving at DFMS each morning.
*Cell phones and wireless communication devices are to be off and away during the school day. If you need to get a message to your child before 3:30 pm, please call the front office at
803-476-4800.

ATTENDANCE UPDATES
With the School Year quickly passing by, I would like to remind all parents/guardians to get all excuses into the Attendance Office as soon as possible.
If you have received a letter in the mail, it is very important to get these absences taken care of before the end of the year.
Please be aware that a Student is considered Truant if the Student has 3 consecutive unexcused absences or a total of 5 unexcused absences.
I appreciate those who are making the effort to get their student's attendance up to date.

Spring Break 2026 - We're Going to SPAIN!
Hey Fox Family!
I am so excited to tell you more about our upcoming trip to Spain during Spring Break 2026! Please register for our info session to be considered for our upcoming travel opportunity. In our session, we'll cover everything from how this opportunity will benefit your child, what's included in the experience, how we'll keep the trip safe and affordable, and much more. Plus, if we haven't met yet, it's a good chance to learn more about me as both an educator and a Group Leader. Registration for this session is mandatory to help organize our meeting, and a parent or guardian must attend. Can't make it? Choose "No, but send info" so you don't miss out.
