What's Happening in October?
Dr. Isett's Weekly Message
Week of October 7th, 2024
Greetings, Colts Families!
This past week, our school was honored with the Gold Status recognition by the California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program! This prestigious award highlights our ongoing commitment to ensuring that every student feels valued, seen, heard, and supported, especially when they face challenges. Thank you to the entire RHIS community for your crucial role in achieving this recognition—we couldn’t have done it without you!
In other exciting news, this Wednesday we will be celebrating our current 8th-grade students who made the honor roll during the second semester of their 7th-grade year! Parents of these students, please check your email for further details about the event.
Additionally, our Tier 2 team continues to meet with students who received two or more F's in the first grading period. Our dedicated teachers, counselors, and paraeducators are working closely with these Colts to strengthen their organizational and study skills. If you believe your student might be falling behind, please reach out to one of our counselors for assistance—we're here to help.
Thank you for your continued support, and please don’t forget to send in donations of unopened bags of candy for our upcoming Fall Fest later this month!
Wishing you all a wonderful week!
Warm regards,
Eva Isett, Ed. D.
Principal
Activities and Clubs
Families, please support us by donating candy for our first annual Fall Festival
Encourage your Colt to get involved!
RHIS is proud to host various clubs on campus. Families, please note that students who stay after school for a club are required to go to their club meeting immediately after school and stay for the entirety of the club meeting. Teachers will walk out students to the front gate to be picked up. For safety and security reasons all students will be required to sign in to club meetings.

School Safety
See something, say something
At River Heights, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community are our top priority. Students, if you witness or experience bullying, threats, or suspicious behavior, report it to a trusted adult. Parents, stay engaged by talking to your children about their school experiences, monitoring online activities, and reporting concerns.
Together, we can ensure our school remains a safe, secure, and supportive environment for everyone. Thank you for your continued vigilance and partnership in this effort.
Witness Statement
We take allegations of bullying and harassment seriously. Please have your student complete a witness statement if they have something to report. If it is an urgent matter, please call the front office at (951) 738-2155, if it is an emergency, please call 911.
