Chancellor's Message
March is a month that symbolizes growth and transformation, much like the journey our students are on during their elementary school years. It's a time when we reflect on the progress made so far and set our sights on the incredible potential that lies ahead.
I encourage you to take a moment this week to celebrate the achievements, big and small, that your child has accomplished. Whether it's mastering a new concept in class, forming new friendships, or demonstrating kindness and empathy, each step forward is a testament to their growth and development.
As partners in your child's educational journey, your role is pivotal. Your encouragement, involvement, and advocacy make a significant impact on their success. Continue to be their biggest cheerleaders, guiding them with love and support as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their elementary school years.
Remember, education is not just about academics; it's about nurturing well-rounded individuals who are compassionate, curious, and resilient. Together, let's foster an environment that promotes a love for learning, fosters creativity, and instills a sense of responsibility.
Important News and Information
Open Enrollment is Open
This year Open Enrollment runs February 14 - March 14, 2024. You can access the application portal at www.applyopa.com.
Open Enrollment Lottery for Siblings of Existing Students and New Students:
Open Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is from February 14 through March 14, 2024. If you have a child who is a sibling of a currently enrolled OPA student, and you want the sibling to attend OPA next school year, you must fill out an application for them during Open Enrollment. Please visit the application website at www.applyopa.com, where you will submit their application and mark the applicant as a sibling of a currently enrolled OPA student at the appropriate campus. Failure to submit an application for an incoming sibling will exclude them from the lottery, and they will have to join the waiting list after those who participate in the lottery. The lottery will take place on April 25, 2024.
If your student is currently enrolled in the virtual program and you are interested in enrolling that student in the seat-based, on-campus program instead, you will need to submit an application at www.applyopa.com during Open Enrollment to apply to change programs. The same process is necessary if you have a student currently enrolled in the seat-based, on-campus program who you want to switch to the virtual program. You will need to fill out an application to enter the lottery to apply for the other program.
Open Enrollment Lottery for Incoming Middle School Students

In our ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of every child in our community, we want to ensure that families feel empowered to seek assistance when needed. One way to initiate this process is by completing a request for assistance form. This form serves as a vital tool for families to communicate any concerns they may have regarding your child's behavior, emotions, or general mental health. By filling out this form, families can provide valuable insights that enable us to offer targeted support tailored to each child's unique needs. We encourage families to take advantage of this resource as we work together to foster a nurturing and supportive environment for our children to thrive.
