Dear Parents,

As you can see from the list of our upcoming events, this month is packed with many events...all of which we are looking forward to hosting. Our Parent Thank You Reception is one that we hope you can attend. This event has always been a low-key moment where everyone can just come, eat, enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or soft drink, and reflect on this year. We hope you can carve out a little time in your busy schedule to join in celebrating this past year. As you may remember, our faculty/staff mantra starting in August, 2021 was...."having fun and loving it!" That fun and love has continued throughout the year thanks to you our wonderful parents and the dedication and commitment of our faculty and staff.

Don't forget about our Mary Prayer Service taking place tomorrow. Our Kindergarten class has been practicing for this special day. It begins at 10:00. Special thanks to Ms. Addae for preparing this special prayer service.

The last SAPTO meeting of the year is this coming Monday, May 16. If you plan to attend and have not yet signed up on the food count survey, please do so by tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

On Thursday, May 19 from 5:30 - 7:00 our faculty and staff will host a Thank You Hors D'Oeuvres and Wine Reception in appreciation for all YOUR countless hours and dedication in making St. Anne School...SIMPLY THE BEST! An invitation will be sent home with your child(ren) TODAY! Please RSVP by May 17. We look forward to seeing you all there!!!

The St. Anne Choir will join with The Crusader/Marianist Choir from Riordan and Riordan High School's Jazz Band in a fundraiser for the people in Ukraine. Please join us for one of these concerts as we continue our support of the Ukrainian people. See the flyer for more information.

I am always struck with sadness on the one hand and thankfulness on the other hand when I find out that we are losing anyone on our school staff. Sadness comes because the person is moving on and will not be with us next year. Thankfulness comes from appreciation for all that that person did for the students, parents, and staff here at St. Anne School. It is with those mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of our much beloved second grade teacher, Mrs. Susan Alioto. After 35 years of loving and devoted service here at St. Anne School, Susan has decided to retire and enjoy a slower pace of life. We thank her for all that she has given to us and wish her the very best. Mrs. Candice Sturges is moving on to continue her teaching in the Archdiocese after 18 years of teaching here at St. Anne. Mrs. Denise McCarthy, second grade aide, has decided to retire and spend her time attending to the needs of her elderly mom. After 2 1/2 years, Ms. Nancy Wong, our 4-8 science teacher, will continue teaching somewhere in SFUSD this coming year. Ms. Michelle Addae, Kindergarten, and Ms. Orlaith O'Leary, Resource Teacher, are longing to return home....Los Angeles and Ireland, respectively. Ms. Claire Gotch, Jr. High Reading, after her two years with us is moving on to get her Masters Degree in English at CUNY in New York. For all that each of them has given to all of us, we extend our sincere thanks and wish them the very best in the coming years. I am very happy to announce that I have found some wonderfully dedicated and talented teachers to fill the openings.

ICE CREAM, ICE CREAM, EVERYONE!! Let's round up for our school's after school treat!! $2.00 sprinkles, whipped cream, and what else?! ICE CREAM!!! Mmmm...

ALL incoming 7th graders are required by law to have proof of a whooping cough booster ('Tdap') shot BEFORE the start of the school year. Be prepared and plan early before the fall back-to-school rush. If your child has already received the 'Tdap' booster, please send us a copy of his/her immunization record to update your child's school file.

Families needing morning/afternoon care for the '22-'23 school year are asked to register by May 27th. Registration forms are available in Extended Care or you may download a copy below.

ANTS, who provides our after school activities like tennis and yoga, is sponsoring a summer program this year. See the link for more information.
