Red Ribbon Week- Save the Date
Red Ribbon Week is an annual campaign in the United States that raises awareness promotes healthy, drug-free lifestyles and serves several important purposes:
Prevention: The week promotes prevention programs and strategies that help individuals make informed choices regarding living a healthy life-style.
Community Involvement: We have a week long series of activities that focus on making good choice.
Empowerment: Red Ribbon Week encourages youth to take a stand against drugs, empowering them to make positive decisions.
Overall, it’s a vital initiative for fostering a culture of health and safety among our Crescent Cougars. Join us on October 28-November 1st as we promote Red Ribbon Week.

Get to Know our Programs
Writing Focus at Crescent
This year one of our instructional goals is to ensure that our students can successfully produce writing across all grade levels. Our staff has established high academic expectations in writing to ensure we maintain and grow our excellent academic standing in English Language Arts. To better understand the foundational expectations of writing, we will be sharing with you the academic standards for three grades each week in order to highlight the progression of writing in each grade. Please note, these are foundational expectations and as a staff and school our goals are to meet and exceed the standards:

This year Halloween falls on Thursday, October 31. Students can dress up with a costume for halloween as long as they follow our costume guidelines:
- Do's: Make sure the costume is safe for your child to wear. Leave all props at home.
- Don'ts: No costume masks. No heels. No scary, vulgar costumes. No weapons. No inappropriate adult-like attire. No blood or gore.
