Summer Hours
Summer Hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Closed July 4th. Due to staff vacations and several retirements in June, there may be other days where the office is closed.
Report Cards
Report Cards will be mailed between May 31 and June 3. Student and parent portal access to grades will be unavailable as teachers calculate final grades. Staff from the counseling office will call parents of students who failed classes to offer credit recovery options for the summer. Students who have outstanding cafeteria fees, other fees or have not returned all school issued equipment (chromebook, charger, textbooks and media center books) will have their report card held until all fees are paid and equipment returned.
Credit Recovery
HHS students have the opportunity to recover credit for Math, Science, Social Studies and English classes during the summer in credit recovery. There are two options for students to recover credit for failed classes:
Credit Recovery Options:
1. In person at HHS from June 3-20 on Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Bus transportation is available (click here to sign up). Students will work in small groups with a HHS teacher to recovery credit for an academic class (English, Math, Science or Social Studies) that the student failed. Contact your school counselor for more information. THIS IS OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL FORM OF CREDIT RECOVERY.
2. Online through HHS from June 3 - July 18. Students must attend orientation session on June 3rd at 8:30 am with Coach Chris Hight. Students will work online through Edmentum. Coach Hight will be available to answer emails/questions based on this calendar (click here). All assignments must be completed by July 18th. For questions about online credit recovery, email chight.hhs@catoosa.k12.ga.us.

Summer Reading List
We are excited to post the new Summer Reading lists for Honors and AP English. A guided summer reading program gives students a chance to build a much needed reading repertoire that will serve them in many ways throughout high school and into college. Learning to read and analyze a book independently is important to college success. Those who are planning to take AP Literature or Language will find that guided summer assignments provide the reading and writing edge students need to be successful on AP exams. Moreover, a summer reading program keeps students intellectually engaged so there is less of a learning lull before a new school year begins. To take full advantage of summer reading, students should join the Google Classroom assigned to their grade/class, choose books that appeal to them, and read thoughtfully and thoroughly in order to be successful in summer testing and during class discussions. Taking notes on the books will help students remember information for the tests. Lists, assignments, test dates, and due dates will be posted in Google Classroom. Please ask your teacher if you need further information or would like advice about a book to read.
Happy Reading

Parents, We Need Your Help!
Heritage Parents,
One of the biggest needs for HHS is to find people willing to become bus drivers for Catoosa County Schools. Please help us to continue to get the word out so that we can find and train courteous, reliable, safe and professional bus drivers! We need you to spread the word! Please speak with your friends, family and neighbors to see if they may know of anyone interested in becoming a part of our outstanding team.
