November 2024
Superintendent's Letter
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
November is a time for gratitude and reflection, and I want to take a moment to express how thankful I am to our entire school community. From our dedicated staff and School Board to our supportive families and community partners, you all play a vital role in empowering and educating our students.
I’m grateful for all the amazing events that bring our community together. Veterans Day celebrations, academic ceremonies, and family events enrich our community. This month, we also celebrate the successes of our students, who shine in the classroom, on the field, and on the stage.
Please enjoy the November newsletter and the upcoming holiday season!
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti

BTSD Board Announces New Brookwood Elementary School Principal
At its November 18 meeting, the Bristol Township School Board of Directors approved John Austerberry as the new principal of Brookwood Elementary School.
Mr. Austerberry’s selection marks the conclusion of a process that began earlier in the fall. The Brookwood principal position opening was advertised widely and over 30 application packets were received. A principal search committee consisting of community stakeholders with expertise and relevance interviewed the top seven candidates, with three finalists being recommended for final interviews with the superintendent’s district cabinet.
An educator for over two decades, Mr. Austerberry brings extensive experience and a strong background in school leadership to the Bristol Township School District and Brookwood Elementary School. He has been the principal of Darby Township School in the Southeast Delco School District since 2022.
