We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
What an incredible Catholic Schools Week it has been! Firstly, a thank you to all of our parent, staff, and student volunteers who made this week possible. We truly could not have done it without you, and we're so grateful you're a part of our school community!
I would invite everyone to check out our Facebook page for a day-by-day breakdown including commentary and photos. Reflecting on the past week, I am especially grateful for the way in which this week was an opportunity for kids to just be kids. "Good, clean fun" as they say. Whether it was cheering in delight at the presentation of the Tribe Cup, rooting for fellow tribe members fiercely competing in a Minute to Win It challenge, or dumping a bunch of quarters in another tribe's Change Challenge bin, there was an authentic sense of wonder and delight throughout the week.
I heard a story recently of a father who brought his child to the zoo. Amidst looking at all of the zebras, elephants, and monkeys, the child stopped suddenly, looked down at the paved walkway, and exclaimed excitedly, "Look, dad - ants!" How wonderful it is that children find wonder all around them, and I hope a pray that this week was an opportunity for our students to do just that. I think it goes without saying that we could all use a bit more wonder and delight in our lives.
Wishing you all a wonderful and restful weekend!
