Volunteers requested for three committees for Carver County 4-H
We are requesting volunteers for three committees:
Day of Dabble organization committee: November, 2024, dates TBD.
Budget committee: to organize and help with creating annual 4-H Budget for 2025-26 to be presented to the Federation in October 2024.
Club help and charter committee: to organize documents to help with club function throughout the year and to help with club charters due in November.
Each of these upcoming events or tasks have been started, so you are not starting anything from scratch. If you are interested, please send an email to devarati@umn.edu.
Carver County 4-H Get Green Open House
Tell your friends and family who have shown interest in 4-H about the Get Green Open House!

- Carver County Public Works Building, 11360 Hwy 212 W, Cologne
4-H is looking for clubs, individuals to help at the open house. Contact Devarati at 952-466-5304.
Carver County Project Records
4-H is not just learning by doing. It's learning by doing it, sharing it, understanding it, relating it and using it. Record keeping encourages you to reflect on your experience so you can share it with others and learn.
Find the project record guides and the 4-H records here.
Carver County records are due in the office by September 30 for evaluation. Awards will be given out at the November 3rd Recognition Banquet.

State Fair Projects back in office. PLEASE arrange pick-up
Please plan to pick up your State Fair Projects from the Cologne office starting September 4, 2024. Office is open from 8.00- 4.30 pm. ryetzer@carvercountymn.gov

If you did not pick up your projects on Sunday night of the Carver County Fair, you have two weeks to pick them up from the Carver County Extension Office in Cologne.

"Sadly I am aging out of 4-H and no longer need a bunch of show rabbits. Rabbits are a great starter show animal easy to show and fun to have around! These rabbits are super friendly! All have made state fair line up and a few have been to state. 1 have won state 2 years in a row: Flemish Giants Bucks and Does."

'Disagreeing Better’ Can we talk? Let’s gather, eat & learn together
A recent Carver County survey showed that a large percentage of people feel like they don’t belong in their community. Attend this free interactive workshop – presented by Braver Angels MN – with discussion and a chance to practice skills for disagreeing better for a better community.
What: A free workshop & continental breakfast catered by Luv’s Kitchen & Company
When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 9-11 a.m.
