A Message from Principal Cutone
September 27, 2024
Dear HES Families,
What a wonderful week we’ve had at Harwich Elementary! The excitement from our Sharks as they welcomed their grown-ups into their learning spaces was truly heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Curriculum Night; your presence makes our school community stronger. We hope you left feeling even more connected to Harwich Elementary. Your involvement is invaluable!
Looking ahead, we invite you to our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 15 and 17. To schedule an appointment, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher. These conferences are a fantastic opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, share insights, and set goals for the year ahead.
We also appreciate the enthusiastic response to our Shark Bites program, inviting special grown-ups to join us for lunch. If you’d like to reserve a spot, please fill out this form at your convenience. We can’t wait to welcome you for lunch!
Keep an eye on your inbox for information about After School Clubs, which will be coming your way soon.
Wishing you a relaxing weekend! As always, feel free to reach out if there’s anything I can do to support you and your Sharks.
Warm regards,
Christie
Important Safety Information
We love to have special grownups volunteering and visiting Harwich Elementary School. For the safety of all, please call the office to ensure that your Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) is on file and up to date. The security check is valid for three calendar years. Thank you!
Important Transportation Note
While we encourage students to connect outside of school, it is not possible for students to ride home on the bus with a classmate if they are not assigned to that bus. Students may not ride on buses other than their assigned bus. If there are changes to the transportation plan, such as parent pickup instead of the bus, please share that information via PickupPatrol. However, requests for a student to ride on a bus that is not their assigned route cannot be accommodated. If you need your student to be added to a route permanently, please fill out the form here: https://www.monomoy.edu/our-district/bus-routes/bus-request-change-form. Contact Transportation Coordinator Faith Rushank at frushnak@monomoy.edu with any further questions. Thank you!
