Principal's Corner
Hello Chargers & Challenger Families!
It's hard to believe that we only have 4 and a half weeks left of the 2023-2024 school year! It has been my pleasure to serve as the principal of Challenger Middle for another year. I have been able to watch the students grow academically, physically, and emotionally. This year has been full of events, celebrations, and all kinds of after-school activities! I want to thank all staff, students, and family members for all the hard work and dedication you have put in this school year to make it a success.
As we move into the testing season we ask that all students make it a priority to be at school on time, eager to learn, and have Chromebooks charged. This is the time for them to βshow what they knowβ. I am proud of each and every student, just as I know you are. We do still have some fun events coming up, but academic success is our first priority - we work hard so we can play hard at Challenger Middle. I am looking forward to finishing this year strong!
Respectfully,
Stacia Winfree
Principal β Challenger Middle

New Teacher Shout-Out!
Ms. Thomas
Ms. Thomas is another new addition to the Challenger team this year and is currently teaching 6th grade Language Arts, as well as coaching Tennis. Although this is her first year at Challenger, this is her 5th year teaching! During her free time or on weekends, Ms. Thomas likes to keep it simple and get some much needed rest or spend time with her daughter. When asked what her favorite part of teaching is, she told us that she loves feeling like she is making a difference. We are grateful to have such an amazing teacher here at Challenger Middle - thank you Ms. Thomas for everything you do!
Excellence in Education Awards
Every year the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce highlights over 60 teachers and students for their outstanding accomplishments in the classroom. Students and educators from the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels are honored the majority from the West Zone of the School District of Lee County, which includes Cape Coral and North Fort Myers.
Each school nominates a teacher and student who they feel go above and beyond in and out of the classroom. This year, our school has chosen Ethan Alexander as our Student of Excellence, and Ms. Christina Williams as our Educator of Excellence.
