NHS & Student Government Event
Frontier Charter School's NJHS, NHS and Student Government had a big day!! They packed 48 boxes for Operation Christmas Child, their fall service project. Collis Baumgartner and Rinaldo Janjua shared presentations on their experiences with the ASD Gifted mentorship (Collis) and ASD Business Academy (Rinaldo). The students were joined by ASD Superintendent, Dr. Jarrett Bryantt and Dr. Weinstock, the pediatric pulmonary specialist that mentored Collis. We rounded out the day honoring Mr. Scott Grant for his 25 years of service in the Anchorage School District! Great job, everybody!!

Honor Choir
Does your 6th grade have a singing talent? We have a great opportunity to share!
Every year, 6th graders all over Anchorage and Eagle River audition for Anchorage School District Honor Choir. The students are auditioned by ASD Music Teachers using a standard audition format.
Auditions are November 6th, 7th, and 8th (note: Singers only need to audition one of the dates)
The top 100 singers are invited to join the annual Honor Choir. Those singers then rehearse together, starting in January, at Romig Middle School in preparation for the March 2025 Honors Concert at West High School.
Advisor Liz Hunt will meet with interested students and help prepare them for the audition. Please contact her (hunt_elizabeth@asdk12.org or 742-1186) with any questions and here's more information. (Audition form attached)
