BHS Library Guide for Students

1. Noise should reflect the activity.

2. No food or soda. Water only.

3. Do not disturb other students or classes.

4. You must have a pass and a purpose to visit the library without a teacher. Please scan the QR to sign in.

5. Use library time for school purposes only.

6. Be kind and respectful to everyone in the library.

7. Check out books before leaving the library and remember to return books on time.

8. Before leaving the library, all chairs must be returned and placed neatly under the tables.

• Books are checked out for 2 weeks.
• Students may check out 2 books.
• Reference books may not be checked out.

Fines

1. Students will be charged a fine of 5¢ per day per item.
2. Overdue/fine notices will be distributed every 9 weeks.

Replacement of Lost or Damaged Items

Students are responsible for all lost or damaged items. Examples of damaged items include but are not limited to: torn pages, *water damage, mold or mildew, any defacement of the item. Fines for minor damages may be added.

1. Pay the purchase price of the item.
2. Provide a replacement copy of the item.

• Students may make copies of pages out of books and reference materials as needed for projects and research purposes.

• Cost is 10¢ per copy.
