“The time is always right to do what is right.” Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dear HFRCS Families,
What a beautiful week it has been both outside and inside our building! First and foremost, I have to shout out the talented students once again for their amazing performances in Wonka, Jr. Thank you to Ms. Walton, Mr. Beverly and all of the families who helped out. A special thank you to Joanne Stewart who beautifully decorated the glass doors to Degnan Hall. The shows were fabulous and would not have been possible without you all!
Tomorrow is a big day. Not only do we have an 11:30am dismissal, but our Together in Faith Beef and Beer is also happening. Doors open at 6:50pm so please arrive by 7:10pm as the festivities will begin promptly. We will be able to accept both cash and credit cards for ticket purchases. We are very excited for the event because so many people spent a lot of time planning a great night out for everyone! A huge thank you to all of our families who have made so many donations for our baskets. I know I will be putting in some chances as they are quite impressive!
Next week we have our annual Donut Day (thank you HSA!) for the students and teachers as well as our monthly mass on Ash Wednesday at 8:30am. We will be recognizing the students and teacher who have best exhibited the virtue of Justice/Fairness in honor of St. Martin de Porres. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate our faith with us at mass.
We have some important announcements and updates below, so please make sure you take the time to read everything. The students will continue to complete 1 reading and 1 math lesson per week. They are also able to work at home if you would like them to complete additional lessons. This is a great opportunity for them to receive some extra instruction that is catered to their “glows” and “grows.” I am always happy to meet with any families who would like to discuss their child’s progress with the program.
As always, thank you for your support and dedication to Holy Family and catholic education. Our school would not be what it is without you, our amazing families.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mr. Elia

Thank you for making HFRCS great and supporting Catholic education!
Personnel Update
As we continue to plan for the upcoming school year, I want to keep you informed about an important consideration regarding our kindergarten program. Due to past, current, and projected kindergarten enrollment numbers, we are assessing the possibility of moving from two kindergarten classes to one.
Our goal is always to provide a high-quality, faith-filled education while maintaining financial sustainability for our school. Based on current enrollment trends, we anticipate that the number of students registering for kindergarten may warrant a single class rather than two. This decision will ultimately depend on final enrollment numbers, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Please know that if we transition to one kindergarten class, we will ensure that our students receive the same level of personalized attention and excellent instruction that you have come to expect from our school. We remain committed to providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment for our youngest learners.
If you or someone you know is considering enrolling in our kindergarten program but has not yet completed the process, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Early registration is critical in helping us finalize our plans.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

This is an opportunity for individuals like you to send PA State Income Tax money directly to our school instead of Harrisburg. If you have the completed commitment form, please send it directly to Kevin Kelly (kkelly@foundationfce.org). The link for the form is below and a copy of the form is also attached to the dojo post.
COVID 19 Policy Update
At Holy Family, our number one priority will always be the safety of our students, staff, and families. After careful consideration and speaking with the archdiocese, we are moving forward with updating our COVID Policy. As of today, 3/15/24, our COVID policy is included with other respiratory illness procedures. They are as follows:
The person cannot return to Holy Family until he/she is fever free, without the use of fever-reducing medications, and their symptoms are improving overall.
Return dates and the enhanced precautions upon return would be determined and/or confirmed by our nurse.
