This Week at Coulston
ILEARN Checkpoint
We began ILEARN Checkpoint testing this past week. This was a great way to introduce the new testing format to the students. The students and staff did an awesome job and worked really hard.
The ILEARN Checkpoints are a new component of the Indiana Department of Education's (IDOE) ILEARN assessment program for English/Language Arts (ELA) and Math.
The ILEARN Checkpoints are short assessments that will be given to students in grades 3–8 three times per school year: fall, winter, and spring. The checkpoints will be required for all Indiana schools in the 2025–2026 school year.
Veterans Day Program
Mrs. Epple and the 4th-grade classes will be presenting our Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11th, at 8:30 a.m. in the Coulston Gym. We invite all 4th-grade families, as well as veterans from our Coulston families to join us. We are excited to honor and celebrate all the veterans who have served or are currently serving our country! We look forward to seeing you.
Fall Costume Dress up Party!
We will celebrate our First Friday Theme Day one day early….on October 31st!!!! Our theme day will be to dress in your favorite costume for a Fall Costume Dress-up Party!!!
Please note the following for this fun day:
-costumes need to be school appropriate
-masks cannot be worn
-appropriate school shoes still need to be worn
-this is costumes only and NO extra costume supplies can be brought to school
